Dec. 16, 2007

Recap |  Final Stats

• Oklahoma trailed Michigan State 28-17 in the first half.  It was the fewest points scored by Oklahoma in a first half since trailing Texas 29-17 in the first half of their matchup on Jan. 10, 2004, a span of 129 games. OU lost that game with Texas, 63-58.

• OU's 24.5 percent (8-of-34) field goal shooting was its worst first-half performance this season. Previously, OU's worst first-half shooting came against Tennessee when the Sooners made just 34.4 percent (11-of-32) of their field goal attempts.

• OU trailed by 11 at the half, but opened the second period with a 12-3 run in the first three minutes to close the gap to 31-29.  Michigan State used two timeouts during that span.  During the run, OU was 6-for-6 from the field and forced three Spartan turnovers.

• Oklahoma made its first nine field goals of the second half.

Ashley Paris
• All of Ashley Paris' 12 points came in the second half.

Courtney Paris
• With 13 points and 13 rebounds, Paris' double-double streak extended to 70 consecutive games.  Paris has recorded a double-double in 75 of 78 career games.

• After making just one of seven free throws prior to the final minute of the game, Paris was clutch, dropping two to put the Sooners up 62-55 with 30.7 second remaining.

Danielle Robinson
• Robinson scored 12 points, her seventh game in double figures.  Against opponents ranked in the Top 25 (Maryland, Tennessee, Arizona State and Michingan State), Robinson scores a team best 14.8 points per game.

Amanda Thompson
• The sophomore forward recorded a double-double in the best game of her career.  It was the first double-double counted by a current Sooner not named Paris.

• Thompson recorded career bests in points (14), rebounds (14), matched her career best in steals (3) and had four blocks.

• Thompson's high school team, Whitney Young (Chicago, Ill.), made the trip to East Lansing, Mich., to watch her performance.
