HONOLULU, Hawai'i - The Sooners (0-1) opened the 2006 season with a 2-1 loss against Washington (2-0) in the OHANA Hotels & Resorts No Ka Oi on Saturday at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium in Honolulu, Hawai'i.
In the first meeting between the two teams, Oklahoma took an early 1-0 lead in the first half before the Huskies rallied with two second half goals.
Senior Kady Kelly scored the Sooners' lone goal in the 22nd minute. Kelly was unassisted on the tally and led all Sooners with two shots in the contest.

Washington's comeback began in the second half with two goals, one by Shannon Dillon in the 49th minute and the second in the 69th minute by Shuree Hyatt.
OU's Jennifer Nichols fell to 0-1 after five saves in the contest opposite Kelly Rasmussen's (2-0) two saves.
Oklahoma will return to action and conclude play in the OHANA Hotels & Resorts No Ka Oi. on Monday, Aug. 28 against host Hawai'i (0-1) at 5 p.m. (10 p.m. CT). The Rainbow Wahine opened their season with a 1-0 loss to Washington on Friday.
After the trip to Hawai'i, the Sooners return home to host Michigan on Sept. 1 in the 2006 home opener at the newly renovated John Crain Field at the OU Soccer Complex.
