NORMAN, Okla. -- Athlon Sports, which produces an annual preseason college football issue, has named Oklahoma No. 2 in its preseason Top 25 poll. 

QB Jason White, WR Mark Clayton and DL Dan Cody are named preseason first-team All-Americans.  C Vince Carter, K Trey DiCarlo, DL Dusty Dvoracek and PR Antonio Perkins are second team All-Americans.

OT Jammal Brown, LB Lance Mitchell and DB Brodney Pool are named preseason first team All-Big 12, while WR Will Peoples, OG Davin Joseph, DL Lynn McGruder, DB Donte Nicholson are on the second team.

OL Wes Sims and P Blake Ferguson are named preseason third-team All-Big 12.

Oklahoma's quarterbacks and offensive line are rated No. 1 in the nation. Oklahoma's wide receivers, defensive line and defensive backs are rated No. 2 in the nation.

Oklahoma's freshman class is rated No. 1 in the Big 12 and running back Adrian Peterson is the No. 1-rated incoming freshman in the league.

Magazines will hit newsstands in June. The Big Twelve edition cover will feature Jason White.
