The Oklahoma athletics department announced that it will launch the live video component of SoonerSports.com on Wednesday night for the OU-Texas volleyball game. The Sooners take on Red River rival Texas at 7 p.m.
'This is something we have been looking forward to since we launched the new SoonerSports.com,' said OU Athletics Internet Services Director Jason Matheson.
The viewing schedules for sports besides volleyball and soccer have not been released but the web provider will pick up a sample of gymnastics and wrestling meets.
Oklahoma volleyball will also feature live stats.
'It's a nice option for us and a nice option for our fans to be able to follow the Sooners,' said OU head coach Kalani Mahi. 'We have a lot of fans who are unable to travel to the matches and this provides a great way for them to be involved.'
