NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Kevin Bookout scored a season-high 18 points and had 12 rebounds and Jaison Williams added 17 points for No. 7 Oklahoma in a 72-57 victory over Texas-Pan American on Monday night.
Playing in its second game as a Top Ten team, Oklahoma (9-0) started the game with an 8-0 run. After a timeout, Texas-Pan American (3-9) went on a 14-8 run during which Chris Fagan hit three 3-pointers to help the Broncs pull within two points with 6:35 remaining.
Texas-Pan American pulled within one on Ray Castillo's 3-pointer from the corner with 4:56 remaining in the first half, but it would be the closest the Broncs would get.
Oklahoma closed the half on a 13-4 run to lead 37-25.
