Sooners open Big 12 action at home.

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma volleyball team opens its Big 12 Conference play at home against Kansas (10-0, 1-0) on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. in the OU Field House. The Sooners (1-9, 0-1) are coming off a 3-0 loss to SMU (4-5) on Thursday night.

Oklahoma leads the all-time series with Kansas 36-16 dating back to 1976, however, KU has won the last six matches against the Sooners. OU's last win over KU was on Nov. 8, 1997, in Lawrence, Kan. The Jayhawks are undefeated heading into Saturday's match, making it KU's best start in school history.

After playing three matches in four days this week, the Sooners have a break until Sept. 26 when they travel to Oral Roberts (3-3) for a 7 p.m. non-conference match.
