NORMAN, Okla. - Visual Image Advertising recently received five Addy awards on behalf of one of its clients, the University of Oklahoma. The Addy Awards is the advertising industry's largest and most representative creative competition. Entrants strive for recognition as the very best in their market all across the country.

Visual Image won three Addys for three pre-game videos, "Heroes," "Warriors," and "Land Run," produced for OU. Each video won under the category "Sales Promotion: Video, Audio, Film or Computer Sales Presentation."

Another Addy was awarded for the pre-game videos, winning under the category "Mixed Media Campaigns: Business to Consumer."

The pre-game videos were produced to inspire, motivate and energize the 75,000 fans at each home football game. Each video touched on the rich tradition of Oklahoma football from the Bud Wilkinson era through the Barry Switzer years, and on to the current success of coach Bob Stoops and his staff.

A :30 television spot, "Bodyrock," won two Addys and also portrayed the current Sooner football squad. The spot featured hard-hitting, fast-paced football action synchronized to the popular song "Bodyrock" by Moby.

"We're proud to be associated with the University of Oklahoma," said Steve Parham, account services director. "We're all born and bred Sooners, and to receive such recognition for something that was a part of the perfect national championship season was a real honor."
