NORMAN, Okla. - In its fourth and final match of the week, the University of Oklahoma volleyball team (2-23, 1-12 Big 12) fell to tournament host SMS (19-5, 10-3 Missouri Valley) in three games (30-15, 30-21, 30-20) at the Mary Jo Wynn Invitational in Springfield, Mo.
Sophomore Christina Barlow led the Oklahoma offense with 15 kills, while freshman Candice Woods posted a team-best .235 hitting percentage (8K, 4E, 17TA). Sophomore Logan Pierce hustled for a team-high 11 digs while sharing blocking honors with Woods with four each.
The Bears were led by Erin Murphy's 12 kills and Rese McNatt's 10 kills, while Chenille Bayless posted a team-best hitting percentage at .800 (4K, 0E, 5TA). Casey Young recorded a team-high six blocks while Murphy registered 11 digs to lead SMS.
The Sooners are back at home on Wednesday, Nov. 7, against Baylor. Match time with the Bears is set for 7 p.m. at the Howard McCasland Field House.
