NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma wrestling team, after two impressive showings in individual tournaments, will compete in its first dual as well as its home opener Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Central Oklahoma at the Howard McCasland Field House.

The Sooners, ranked No. 2/3 in the national polls, are coming off a performance at the Missouri Open that consisted of three individual champions and five finalists.

No. 8/6 Matt Ridings (125), No. 2/2 Witt Durden (133) and No. 4/3 Josh Lambrecht (184) all won their respective weight classes for OU. Ridings defeated teammate Bo Maynes, 3-1, in the second consecutive final between the two while Lambrecht upset top-ranked Viktor Sveda of Indiana, 2-1, in the championship match. All three winners remain undefeated on the season.

Heavyweight Leonce Crump, ranked No. 4/3, was the other Sooner to make the final.

Top-ranked Jared Frayer, despite losing, won three matches on the day to give the junior 101 career wins. Nate Parker, who also finished third, defeated two top-five opponents in his bracket.

OU leads the all-time series with the Bronchos, 35-8-1, and won last year's dual, 39-3, in Norman. Central Oklahoma, an NCAA Division II powerhouse, has won 12 national championships in school history and finished third in the nation last season.
