NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma volleyball team (2-19, 1-10 Big 12) dropped their second match of the week to Missouri, 3-0 (30-24, 30-16, 30-19). The Tigers move to 17-6 overall and 7-6 in the Big 12.

"I felt pretty good about game one but I was very disappointed in games two and three," said Oklahoma Head Volleyball Coach Kalani Mahi. "Missouri served very aggressively and we couldn't pass the ball as well, so it put more pressure on our outside hitters."

Freshman Candice Woods continued to lead the Sooners offensively with a .353 hitting percentage (6K, 0E, 17TA), while junior Denise Griffin posted a team-best nine kills. Defensively, junior Lindsay Hoyt hustled for a team-high nine digs while four Sooners recorded two blocks each. Oklahoma outblocked MU 6.5 to 4.

"Statistically, Candice Woods is a good, solid player for us, and she's doing incredible things," added Mahi.

For the Tigers, Lisa Morris posted a team-best 16 kills while hitting .406. Kristen Johnson, who only played in game three, hit a team-best .714 (5K, 0E, 7TA). MU outhit the Sooners .307 to .109. Christi Myers led the team with 13 digs while adding 10 kills and three blocks.

The Sooners are next in action against No. 24 Colorado on Sunday, Oct. 28. Match time is set for 2 p.m. at the Howard McCasland Field House.
