Oklahoma Head Coach Kelvin Sampson
On current win streak and the game:
"It's a nice feeling to have a three-game winning streak right now. A week ago, we had lost two straight games. And now our kids are playing better and improving and that is still my main focus presently. Our defense was really good in the first half and in the second half we didn't defend as well. But Nebraska is a good team and they're going to make their shots sooner or later. I was impressed with both Belcher and Ffriend, especially."
On junior forward Aaron McGhee:
"Aaron is playing much better right now. He was able to make some good shots today for our team. I thought he was much more effective in attacking the basket than he has been in other games. I also thought that our team did a good job of limiting Ffriend's touches underneath."
On senior guard Nolan Johnson:
"We've been trying to stress to Nolan to get to the free throw line because he's a good shooter and he was able to do that today, especially down the stretch when the game was close."
Oklahoma Junior Guard J.R. Raymond
On the game:
"For the first time in a long time, I finally played the way I'm capable of playing. We came out of the gates with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. We were ready to go. I think we let up a bit in the second half. To become a great team, you have to avoid situations like that."
Oklahoma Junior Forward Aaron McGhee
On the game:
"The offense finally had a nice rhythm to it, especially in the first half. This was a huge win for us. These back-to-back victories give us a lot of confidence when we hit the road for the next two games. On offense, I'm bouncing back and I'm starting to hit the shots that just weren't falling for me before."
