AJ Graffeo was named head coach of the University of Oklahoma Mascot Team in 2024. A proud OU alumnus, he holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminology. During his time as a student, AJ was an active member of the Mascot Team and served as Co-Captain in his final year.

Following graduation, AJ pursued a career in education and leadership, teaching courses in leadership, yearbook and digital art, while also coaching competitive cheerleading. Under his guidance, teams earned five UCA National Championships and two State Championships.

Currently, AJ serves as the Public Information Officer and Director of Communications for one of the Oklahoma City school districts. His passion for mentorship and school spirit drives his commitment to the OU Mascot Team. He is dedicated to developing the program and inspiring student mascots to lead with purpose, uphold tradition and graduate as confident, well-rounded individuals.
