NORMAN — No. 13 Oklahoma took the series over Gonzaga Saturday afternoon in Norman with a 11-1 run-rule win in seven innings.

Starting right-handed pitcher LJ Mercurius was brilliant, hurling a complete game one-hitter while striking out nine and surrendering just one unearned run.

The offense showed off its power once again, knocking six extra-base hits including three home runs on the day. Camden Johnson ripped a ball up the alley and zoomed around the bases for an inside-the-park home run to get the Sooners on the board in the third inning before Nolan Stevens and Trey Gambill went yard in the fourth inning.

OU (10-1) was powered by a six-run fourth inning and three-run seventh that saw Johnson lace a walk-off RBI single to center field to end the game by mercy rule.

The run-rule was OU's second consecutive and sixth mercy-rule victory of the season.

Stevens tied a career best with three hits. It was his first three-hit day as a Sooner.
The complete game for LJ Mercurius was his third of his career and first as a Sooner. The seven-inning complete game was the first since Kyson Witherspoon vs. Vanderbilt last season (4/12/25).
Mercurius had nine strikeouts on the day to boost his total to 28 on the year to just six walks in three starts.
