Ingrid Sobrino
Ingrid Sobrino is entering her third season as the Director of Operations for the Oklahoma wrestling program. She has quickly become a vital member of the OU staff, overseeing the team’s logistics and organizational needs off the mat including travel, recruiting, budgeting and team events amongst other things.

She also serves as the program’s liaison to the academics, business, compliance, communications, events and facilities, fundraising, housing, marketing, athletic training, nutrition, ticketing, equipment and student athlete experience departments.

Sobrino came to OU with an impressive and diverse background in athletics at both the collegiate and professional levels. On the pro stage she worked for the Orlando Magic where she was responsible for all special event planning for the Corporate Partners division and coordinated player and coach engagement at each of the organization’s partner events. She also worked directly with the basketball operations team to organize corporate partner travel logistics and budgeting. Additionally, she worked to implement marketing and sponsorship efforts for the Magic’s latin affair’s division.
 
In the college ranks, she spent two years working in the Bobcat Club, the principal fundraising arm of Texas State University Athletics, before moving to a position as chief of staff, special events and recruiting for Rice University’s football program. She reported directly to head football coach David Bailiff, winning a conference title and three bowl games during her time with the Owls. She directed all special events, home game activities, and managed all event budgets for the team. She also assisted with the coordination of all team travel for away games and during bowl season in addition to organizing all official and unofficial recruitment visits, junior days, summer football camps, etc.
 
Following her six years at Rice, she took on the role of director of recruiting relations for football at N.C. State. She managed the NCSU Football Ambassador program and spearheaded the organization of the team’s recruiting events and other activities.

The San Juan, Puerto Rico, native graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Management before earning her master’s in physical education with a specialization in sports management from Adelphi University. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
