Everett Hailey

Everett Hailey joined the Oklahoma men's basketball staff as a grad assistant in the summer of 2025 after serving as a student manager with the Sooners for four seasons. In his current role, he assists with the program's daily operations, including practice planning, personnel, individual workouts, statistics and recruiting. He also continues to support team travel, equipment logistics and recruiting visits.
Hailey served as the head manager for Oklahoma men's basketball from 2023-25, earning a promotion within two years based on his leadership and performance. He previously served as a student manager with the program during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
Upon graduation, Hailey also gained experience with the University of North Carolina athletic department, serving as a football equipment assistant in summer 2025. He oversaw student workers, assisted with practice setup and special teams operations, and worked with student-athletes, coaches, support staff and vendors before returning to Norman.
Hailey has also worked as an operations assistant with USA Basketball at the Gold Camp in 2024 and U.S. Open Basketball Tournaments in Rock Hill, S.C. (2023) and Indianapolis (2022) and was selected to participate in the 2024 NCAA Basketball Academy through Grow the Game. He has additional experience with film and analytics through Grow the Game's Film and Analytics Cohort.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Hailey earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with minors in marketing and history from Oklahoma in 2025. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in adult and higher education through Oklahoma's Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. He was named to the Dean's List in spring 2025.
