SHUTOUT SOONERS

• OU has won each game by way of a shutout so far. It's the first time since 2009 that the Sooners have won the first three games in shutout fashion. Oklahoma didn't permit a shot on goal all game on Thursday night.

FRESHMEN RISE TO THE OCCASION

• OU has had at least one freshman notch a point in each of the first three games. In Thursday's win against Oklahoma State the Sooners had all of their scoring come from freshman as Kate McCallister and Kennedy Kaiser tallied a goal each. Both McCallister and Kaiser have two goals this season.

THE SCOUT

• The Sooners and Tigers play for the first time since 2010. It's just the second time that Colorado College has made the trip to Norman, with the previous instance coming in 2010 and resulting in a draw.

• Colorado College is 2-1-0, having defeated a pair of Missouri Valley Conference teams in Creighton and Drake before dropping Thursday night's game at UTSA. The Tigers went 5-6-7 a year ago in the 5th year under head coach Keri Sanchez. Sanchez was formerly an assistant coach at the University of Texas. She was a decorated player at North Carolina and with the U.S. Women's National Team.

KEEFER IN THE HEADLINES

• Junior forward Kayla Keefer was named Southeastern Conference (SEC) Offensive Player of the Week and was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week yesterday.

• Keefer became the first Sooner to earn the SEC Offensive Player of the Week honor since OU joined the league in 2024.Ā

RECORD-SETTING OPENER

The Sooners shattered multiple records last Thursday. The 9-0 win against Northwestern State marked a program single-game team goals record, while Kayla Keefer became the first Sooner in program history to score four goals in a game. She notched a hat trick in under 12 minutes played and was one of five Sooners to get in the scoring column. Keefer also set a program record for points in a game (8).

SOONER DEBUTS

A total of 14 different Sooners made their debuts on opening night. Of those, four Sooners scored the first goal of their career, including true freshmen Kate McCallister and Brenna Hallam. Narissa Fults and Isabella Martinez also got in the scoring column for the first time and Paige Califf and Aly Guthrie tallied the first assists of their OU careers. Norman native Callie Sullivan made her debut in goal and earned the win, tallying one save while playing 63 minutes.
