Weekend Schedule
Friday, March 27 at 6 p.m.
Saturday, March 28 at 11 a.m.
Sunday, March 29 at 11 a.m.

FIRST PITCH

• Oklahoma plays the final three games of a seven-game road swing when the No. 3/5 Sooners take on No. 20/20 LSU in Baton Rouge March 27-29.

• OU is currently on a 21-game winning streak dating back to February 21. The Sooners opened SEC play with consecutive sweeps against (RV) Auburn and (RV) Ole Miss, outscoring opponents, 64-16, during those first six games of league play.

• During the Sooners' 21-game winning streak the Sooners have hit 80 home runs and are batting .448 with a .958 slugging percentage. OU has outscored opponents, 274-44, during that stretch. The OU pitchers have a combined 2.41 ERA, while Audrey Lowry has gone 7-0

• Friday's game will be streamed on SEC Network+, with Lyn Rolling (play-by-play) and Yvette Girouard (color analyst) on the call. Saturday will be carried on SEC Network, with Roy Philpott (play-by-play) and Michele Smith (color analyst) on the broadcast. That same tandem will be on Sunday's ESPN broadcast. The radio broadcast will be available on  KEBC/KRXO (1560 AM / 104.5 FM) both Friday and Saturday, while Sunday's radio broadcast is available on 1560 AM.

• The Sooners play their first regular season games against LSU as SEC foes. OU and Louisiana State met once in OU's inaugural season in the league, with the Sooners winning, 4-1, in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinals in Athens, Ga., last year. OU faced off against current Sooner, Sydney Berzon, in that game. OU alum Cydney Sanders went deep in that win.

• OU has won 25 of its 32 games by run-rule, including four of six games in SEC play. OU has posted a double-digit scoring effort 22 times.

• The Sooners are 32-2 and 6-0 in SEC play and ranked third in the most recent ESPN.com/USA Poll as well as fifth in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll. The Sooners are one game better than they were through 34 games last year (31-3 at the 34-game mark in 2025).

• OU is 10-1 on the road this season, with its true road games coming at (RV) Arizona State (won, 2-1) No. 17/20 Arizona (won the series, 2-1), at New Mexico State (won, 18-6), at UTEP (won, 34-0), at North Texas (won, 16-4) at Memphis (won, 15-0) and at (RV) Ole Miss (swept series).

• The Sooners have hit at least one homer in 33 of 34 games and have done so in 20 consecutive contests. OU's 129 home runs on the season is already good for third all-time in OU single season history with 20 regular season games remaining.

• OU's 21-game winning streak marks the 10th time during head coach Patty Gasso's tenure that the Sooners have posted a 20-plus game winning streak.

FLEXIN' FRESHMEN

•  The Sooner freshmen Lexi McDaniel, Kai Minor, Allyssa Parker and Kendall Wells have combined for 49 home runs, 128 RBIs, 130 runs and a .405 batting average (122-301).

•  Kai Minor is hitting .505, leading all D1 freshmen in batting average. She is also second among all freshmen in hits (42) and is third in runs (39).

•  Kendall Wells is not only leading the country in home runs (25), but is on pace to hit 39.7 over the regular season, which would break the NCAA single season record for home runs.

•  Allyssa Parker is one of six Sooners with double-digit home runs, having hit 10 this season in just 51 at-bats. Her 1.020 slugging percentage is second in the nation among all freshmen, behind only Wells (1.168). She is the only player in the nation with an undefeated pitching record and at least 10 home runs at the plate. On March 7 she achieved the rare feat of tripling and spinning a complete game in the circle. She fanned four and worked six scoreless frames in that game. She is the first Sooner since Keilani Ricketts (May 31, 2012) to spin a complete game and triple in the same  game.

•  Lexi McDaniel is on pace to become the third OU freshman with double-digit homers. She also has three pinch-hit homers this year.  McDaniel and Wells both earned national freshman and or player of the week honors this season. Wells was named Softball America Freshman of the Week and D1Softball National Player of the Week. McDaniel was also named SEC Freshman of the Week and D1Softball Freshman of the Week

SCENE SETTERS

• OU is on a historic pace in a number of offensive categories this season. The Sooners are hitting .442 as a team and for context, OU's program record is .405 in the 2021 season. The Sooners slashed their way to program records that season, slugging .778 in 2021 while reaching base at a .490 clip. The Sooners are leading the country with a .926 slugging percentage and tout a .534  on-base percentage.

• The Sooners have hit more home runs than 112 teams in Division I have for total runs scored. OU's 401 runs account for 94.7 percent of its total run total from all of last season. The Sooners set the NCAA single season runs record with 638 in 2021, doing so in 60 games. Oklahoma averaged 10.6 runs per game that season. The Sooners are averaging 12.6 runs per game through 34 contests this season, on pace for 682 runs in the regular season alone in 2026.

• OU's offense features 14 players with at least three home runs. Six players have at least 10 home runs and four have 12 or more. In all of 2025 seven players had eight home runs or more. OU's batting averages range from .324 to .505, with 10 of 14 players with an at-bat batting above .400. Ella Parker hit .423 last year, the lone Sooner to hit above .400 in 2025.

GIFT OF GAB

• Sophomore shortstop is in the top ten national lead for homers (15). Garcia ranks tied for ninth in the nation in home runs and tied for ninth in RBIs (48). Garcia hits big and in bunches, pacing the Sooners with four games of 5+ RBIs. She is second on the team in multi-hit games with 15.

• In 94 career games she is hitting .388 with 107 hits, 88 runs, 106 RBIs, 35 home runs and is slashing .388/.441/.837.

• The everyday shortstop helped OU set a single season double plays turned record (31) in 2025. She has made only seven errors in 236 chances, all of which have come at shortstop. She was named to the 2025 SEC All-Defensive Team and helped OU turn four double plays against Abilene Christian March 8, tied for the most by a team in NCAA Division 1 this season.

STREAKY KASSY P

• Junior Kasidi Pickering is in the midst of a 29-game reached base streak that dates all the way back to the season opener at Arizona State. During that span she's generated 13 multi-hit games and 14 multi-RBI games, both good for third and second on the team respectively. Her ability to get on has helped the lineup as Pickering has been in the leadoff spot 23 times this season.
