NORMAN – The No. 18 Oklahoma men's tennis team is slated to begin conference play with a pair of home matches this weekend at the Headington Family Tennis Center, beginning with a matchup against No. 34 SOuth Carolina at noon on Saturday. The Sooners will face No. 32 Ole Miss at noon on Monday.
Live stream and live stat information for both matches can be found here.
The Sooners' 2026 home matches at the Headington Family Tennis Center are open to the public and admission is free of charge. Due to the elimination of concessions, fans are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks. Oklahoma maintains a clear bag policy for all home events on the Norman campus. Fans can enter through the main doors of the Headington Family Tennis Center for all matches.
Saturday's competition against the Gamecocks will celebrate the OU Kids Club with free keychains available for fans in attendance. Fans can enter a raffle to win a football autographed by head football coach Brent Venables and free pizza will be available while supplies last. Doors open at 11 a.m.
At Monday's midday match, the Sooners celebrate various Student Organizations on campus. Fans in attendance can enjoy free corndogs while supplies last. Doors open at 11 a.m.
The Sooners enter conference play on a five-match winning streak during which they have only dropped two singles matches. In the month of February, Oklahoma swept Tulsa on the road (4-0) and earned home victories over Wichita State (4-2), Oral Roberts (4-0), New Mexico (4-0) and UT Arlington (4-0).
OU won all five matches in the span of four days, playing the four home matches over a two-day stretch on Feb. 6-7. The five wins over four days improved Oklahoma's season record to 8-1.
Oklahoma is ranked in the top-20 nationally for the fourth straight week, with three players appearing in the singles rankings and two doubles teams in the national rankings. In singles rankings, senior Luis Alvarez leads the pack at No. 49, followed by sophomore Oscar Lacides at No. 79 and junior Asahi Harazaki at No. 89. In doubles, Lacides and teammate Bruno Nhavene sit at No. 54, while sophomore Orel Kimhi and freshman Johan Rodriguez are No. 71.
The Sooners will look to claim their first win over the Gamecocks. In last season's matchup in Columbia, S.C., OU fell 6-1 to the then-No. 25 South Carolina squad.
So far this season, No. 34 South Carolina is 7-1, with a ranked victory over No. 20 Duke, 4-1, in its last match. The Gamecocks did not advance to the ITA National Indoor Championships.
In last season's meeting between Oklahoma and Ole Miss, the Sooners came out on top, 4-3. Monday's matchup will only be the fifth time OU and Ole Miss have met in men's tennis.
Ole Miss, which is currently 12-0 this season and is the only unbeaten team in the SEC entering conference play, is No. 32 in the Feb. 19 ITA team rankings.
OU hosts Vanderbilit on Friday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. CT before heading to Knoxville, Tenn., to take on Tennessee on Sunday, March 1 at 10 a.m. CT.
