NORMAN — Oklahoma men's and women's cross country teams split for this weekend's action, along with the remainder of the season until the squads rejoin at the 2025 SEC Cross Country Championships. The men travel to Lawton, Okla. to compete in an 8K at the Aggie Duels on Friday morning, while the women head north to Wichita, Kan., for a 5K at the JK Gold Classic the following morning.
The OU men race at 8:25 on Friday, Sept. 5 at the Big Green Soccer Complex in Lawton, Okla.. The lineup remains the same as week one, returning all eight Sooners. Last week, the men claimed second at the Cowboy Preview, and freshman
Ronald Ngetich finished first, earning him SEC Freshman Runner of the Week honors.
The women race the following morning, Saturday, Sept. 6 at 8:30 a.m. in a 5K at the Clapp Cross Country course in Wichita, Kan.. Transfers
Lily Baker and
Sanae Hassnaoui make their cross country debut for Oklahoma, while
Sophie Coughlin makes her first appearance this season.
