AGAINST TEXAS
OU is 61-27 all-time against Texas in a series that dates back to 1997 … the Sooners are 23-7 against UT in Norman, while this weekend marks the first meeting between OU and Texas at Love's Field … the last meeting between the two teams was an 8-4 win for OU in the deciding game of the Women's College World Series Championship Game … Cydney Sanders hit a go-ahead three-run double to help seal the win in that game … the two teams haven't played in Norman since April 2, 2023 in the final year at Marita Hynes Field.

ABOUT TEXAS
Texas is 42-6 and 13-5 in conference play and coming off a 1-0 win at Oklahoma State Wednesday evening … the Longhorns are coming off a series win against LSU … prior to that they dropped two of three against Tennessee at home … Texas started the season as the preseason No. 1 team in the country.

LAST TIME OUT
No. 4/3 Oklahoma overcame consecutive 4-0 deficits and belted six home runs between two games of a doubleheader to sweep a twin bill against No. 15/16 Mississippi State Sunday, April 20.

RANKED GAMES
The Sooners have played 18 games against ranked teams this season, going 14-4 in such contests and 11-4 in games against ranked SEC foes. The Sooners' 18 games against ranked teams by April 24 is the most for Oklahoma up to that point since the 2011 season.

TOUGH UP THE MIDDLE
Gabbie Garcia and Ailana Agbayani have started all 18 games at shortstop and second base respectively during league play, while also combining for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in league games. The duo has converted all 111 chances in the field, making them the lone middle infield combo across at least the Power Four conferences to tout a perfect fielding percentage in conference competition.

COMEBACK KIDS
Oklahoma rebounded from consecutive 4-0 first inning deficits during Sunday's doubleheader against Mississippi State, turning around to win both. It's the only time OU has completed such a comeback in consecutive games since at least the 1997 season. The Sooners ranked tied for third in the nation in comeback wins with 15.

PARKER KNOCKING ON THE DOOR
Sophomore Ella Parker is knocking on the door of three more statistical milestones. After surpassing 100 career hits in just 82 games earlier this year, Parker currently sits at 99 starts, 99 runs scored and 98 RBIs. Parker is hitting .403 for her career over 108 games and 290 at-bats. She's already matched last year's walk total with 34 in 42 games.

BALANCE IS KEY
The Sooners have four players between 36 RBIs and 43 RBIs on the season, including Ella Parker (36), Gabbie Garcia (38), Kasidi Pickering (43) and Nelly McEnroe-Marinas (43). Garcia has homered 12 times, while Pickering and McEnroe-Marinas possess almost identical statistics with 13 home runs apiece. Pickering has one more hit than McEnroe-Marinas, while McEnroe-Marinas has her by one in the doubles category (12). The biggest difference in their statlines come in the way of walks, with Pickering sits at eighth in the country with 0.93 walks per game.

PERFORMING UNDER THE BRIGHT LIGHTS
Nelly McEnroe-Marinas has hit 10 of her 13 home runs in SEC play, good for the conference lead. Additionally, she is tied for the conference lead in RBIs (23) during league competition. She's also homered seven times in games against Top 25 opponents. She's had a multi-home run series against South Carolina, Arkansas, Missouri and Mississippi State, and also homered against Alabama. In total she's homered against every SEC team OU has faced this season outside of Tennessee. She hit a pair of three-run homers against South Carolina in a 10-9 win, becoming the first Sooner to hit a pair of three-run homers in the same game since Lynnsie Elam did so against Iowa March 20, 2022.

BIG BATS
Oklahoma is second in the SEC in home runs (84), just one behind Florida (85), despite having played six less games than the Gators. OU has homered in 40 of 44 games this season and is coming off a five homer performance in a 9-6 win against No. 15 Mississippi State April 20. Of OU's 84 homers, 51 have been hit by a newcomer, while six different Sooners have had multi-home run games. Additionally, 12 different players have hit at least one home run.

OH ME OH MAYA
Sophomore Maya Bland had a week that she'll never forget, contributing with game-winning home runs in both of OU's wins against No. 18 Oklahoma State and No. 22 Alabama. Bland hit a go-ahead three-run home run against OSU in Oklahoma City before hitting a pinch hit two-run home run against Alabama April 12.

PICK TO CLICK
Kasidi Pickering is leading the team in batting average (.431), hits (50), slugging percentage (.579) and walks (41). Earlier this season she reached base safely in 15 consecutive plate appearances (March 23-30), while she also hit safely in a team-high 16 consecutive games.

FRESHIES
Oklahoma freshman have combined to hit 38 of Oklahoma's 84 home runs, paced by 12 from Gabbie Garcia and 13 from Nelly McEnroe-Marinas. Five different OU freshmen have hit at least two home runs.

3X SEC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Sam Landry has been named SEC Pitcher of the Week three times this season, earning the recognition February 17, March 18 and March 25. Landry is coming off a week that saw her earn two wins and a save, bringing her to 15-3 on the year with four saves.

ACTIVE CAREER LEADERS
The Sooners have a number of players in the top ten among active leaders in a variety of statistical categories, particularly between the arms of Isabella Smith and Sam Landry
PATIENT AT THE PLATE
Of the Sooners' 346 runs, Oklahoma has scored 99 runs via a walk or hit-by-pitch. Oklahoma has scored at least one run per game via a walk or hit by pitch in 38 of 44 games. The Sooners are fourth in the nation in walks with 219.

THE GIFT OF GAB
Freshman infielder Gabbie Garcia is tied for 11th among all freshmen in Division with 12 home runs. She was named D1Softball Freshman of the Week March 11 and April 8 as well SEC Player of the Week March 18. Earlier this month she became the first OU freshman since Jocelyn Alo to homer in five consecutive games.

CYDNEY SLAMDERS
Cydney Sanders has played in the most games among active Sooners, logging 217 for her career and 157 for her time at Oklahoma. Sanders' 54 career homers features 31 during her time in Norman, two of which came in the same inning against St. Thomas April 3. She was the first Sooner to do so since Alynah Torres homered twice in the same frame against UT Arlington March 20, 2024. Sanders is one walk away from 100 for her OU career.

KEEPIN' IT 100
Oklahoma has seen a number of players surpass the "100 milestone" in a variety of statistical categories this year, including:

-Sam Landry reached 100 strikeouts this season (April 9 vs. OSU)
-Kasidi Pickering reached 100 career hits (April 9 vs. OSU)
-Ella Parker surpassed 100 career hits (February 28 vs. Marshall)
-Isabela Emerling reached 100 career RBIs (March 26 at Wichita State)
