NORMAN — The Associated Press announced its All-SEC teams Wednesday, and Oklahoma wide receiver Isaiah Sategna III, kicker Tate Sandell and punter Grayson Miller were named to the All-SEC First Team in a vote by media members who cover the conference on a regular basis. Three more Sooners – defensive linemen Gracen Halton and R Mason Thomas and linebacker Owen Heinecke – were named to the All-SEC Second Team.

Sategna, a redshirt junior from Austin, Texas, was an All-SEC Second Team selection by the league's coaches. He has started all 12 games and leads the team and is tied for second in the SEC in receiving yards (948), receiving yards per game (79.0) and receiving touchdowns (seven). His 65 receptions and 14.6 yards per catch also lead the team. He has returned 23 punts for 301 yards and ranks 10th nationally with his 13.1 yards per punt return. He also has 24 yards on four rushes, and his 1,273 all-purpose yards and 106.1 all-purpose yards per game lead the team and rank sixth in the conference.

Sandell, one of three Lou Groza Award finalists, was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year and was also a first-team selection by the league's coaches (the AP did not select a special teams player of the year). A three-time SEC Special Teams Player of the Week, Sandell is 23 of 24 on field goal tries this season and has made each of his last 23, setting a school and single-season SEC record. The redshirt junior from Port Neches, Texas, is 7 for 7 on field goals of 50-plus yards and 10 for 10 on field goals of 45-plus yards, and his four makes of 55-plus yards are a school career record. His 96% field goal rate leads the SEC and ranks second nationally, and he has made all 32 of his PAT attempts this season.

Miller, a redshirt junior from Edmond, Okla., is in his first year at OU after transferring from Division II Central Oklahoma, was also an All-SEC First Team selection by the coaches. He ranks 12th nationally and leads the SEC by averaging 46.2 yards per punt. A two-time SEC Special Teams Player of the Week, he has served as OU's punter since the second game of the season. He has booted a single-season school-record 23 punts of 50-plus yards, with a long of 66, and has had 24 downed inside the 20-yard line with only six touchbacks.

Thomas, who was an All-SEC First Team selection by the coaches, has registered 23 total tackles, including a team-high 6.5 sacks as well as 9.5 tackles for loss, in his nine games this season. The senior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has also forced two fumbles and returned one fumble 71 yards for a touchdown at Tennessee. It was the longest fumble return in program history. Thomas was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week on Sept. 22 after recording four tackles, including 2.0 sacks and a safety, in the second half of OU's win over Auburn.

Halton, a senior, has played in all 12 games and made six starts (including each of the last five) and totaled 31 tackles, 7.0 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, six QB hurries, two pass breakups and a forced fumble. He also returned a fumble four yards for a touchdown in Oklahoma's win over Kent State. The San Diego, Calif., product was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week on Nov. 24 after he registered a career-high-tying seven tackles, 2.0 TFLs, half a sack and a QB hurry in OU's victory over Missouri. His seven tackles were the most by an OU defensive tackle this season.

Heinecke, a redshirt junior from Tulsa, Okla., has played in all 12 games and started each of the last four contests this year after primarily playing in a special teams role the last two seasons. He ranks second on the team with his 67 total tackles and 10.0 tackles for loss, and has registered 2.0 sacks, four pass breakups, a QB hurry and a forced fumble. His strip-sack against Tennessee led to Thomas' 71-yard fumble return touchdown. In that game, Heinecke made his first career start and registered a career- and team-high 13 tackles, including 1.5 for loss and a sack, to earn SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Prior to this season, he had totaled 11 career tackles and none for loss.
