POSTGAME NOTES
• No. 9 Oklahoma pushed its winning streak to five on Friday night in Fort Myers, Fla. The Sooners topped Coppin State, 100-46, at Alico Arena to move into the GEICO Coconut Hoops Classic title game. OU will face Florida State on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. CT.

• OU has dominated opponents throughout the streak, winning every game by at least 25 points and the last three by 50 or more. It is the first time in program history the Sooners have posted three straight wins by 50 points. Since Jennie Baranczyk arrived in 2021, OU has stacked up 10 five-game winning streaks.

• Oklahoma has reached the century mark in consecutive games for the first time since November 2014 when it did so against Lamar and Bradley. The Sooners' 212 points over the last two outings are the second most in a two-game stretch in school history, trailing only a 218-point burst in 1991-92, when OU set a program record with three straight 100-point wins.

• Friday's win brings Jennie Baranczyk to 299 career victories. One more would make her the eighth active SEC coach to hit 300 and she would do it faster than all but two (Kim Mulkey/Kenny Brooks) in the league's ranks.

• Despite the Sooners' offensive firepower over the last few weeks, it was their defensive effort that paved the way on Friday. A Baranczyk-era high 22 steals, including a career high seven from Zya Vann (tied for a Baranczyk-era high), led to 36 points off turnovers. Oklahoma, who entered the night ranked inside the top-25 nationally in blocks per game, swatted a season-high eight shots for the second consecutive game. Raegan Beers and Payton Verhulst each finished with two blocks.

Zya Vann starred in the win, scoring the game's first seven points en route to 16 points on a 7 of 14 shooting performance. The sophomore guard added career highs in steals (7) and assists (6).

• Beers secured her 50th career double-double, the second most among active Division I players. She posted 14 points, 14 boards and a career high five assists. Her five double-doubles this season rank third nationally.

Sahara Williams delivered 21 points on 9 of 14 shooting with nine rebounds and three steals, finishing just shy of her third double-double of the year.

Aaliyah Chavez scored 14 and Verhulst added 12 as all five Sooner starters reached double figures for the first time this season.

• Oklahoma overpowered Coppin State on the boards with a plus-19 margin, collecting 51 rebounds. OU has pulled down 50 or more in four straight contests.

• OU shot 50% (39 of 78) in the win and held the Eagles to just 22.6% (12 of 53), improving to 91-4 since 2021 when shooting more efficiently from the floor that its opponents. The Sooners are now 63-2 when holding their opponent under 70 points under Baranczyk and now rank third nationally in opponent field goal percentage (29.9%) this season.

• OU takes on Florida State on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. CT in the GEICO Coconut Hoops Classic championship game as it chases its first in-season tournament title since the 2015 Junkanoo Jam. The game airs on FloCollege with radio coverage on the Sooner Sports Radio Network.
