FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. —
Juliette Rayo scored a late penalty kick goal to get Oklahoma (10-4-4, 3-4-3 SEC) on the board but the Sooners ultimately fell in the regular season finale, 3-1, at No. 6 Arkansas (9-3-4, 7-1-2 SEC) Sunday, Oct. 26.
Arkansas broke a 0-0 stalemate in the 39th minute when Aniyah Nurse-Whyte flicked on a pass of a free kick and just over goalkeeper
Caroline Duffy. The Razorbacks scored on a cross just before half, taking a 2-0 lead into the break.
The Sooners created good looks in the second half sending eight shots up to just four for Arkansas. Despite that the hosts held tough and added a final insurance goal in the 83rd minute.
Rayo got the Sooners into the scoring column with her penalty kick goal in the 89th minute to bring OU to 38 goals on the year, tied for a program record.
