NORMAN — For the second straight week Oklahoma Soccer's
Caroline Duffy was named Southeastern Conference (SEC) Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office.
Duffy earned her second clean sheet in as many games, holding No. 4 Tennessee scoreless in a 0-0 draw Thursday, Oct. 9. The goalkeeper has notched three shutouts this season and has only permitted one score over the past three league games. That goal came on a penalty kick in Oklahoma's 3-1 win at Alabama.
The senior has started all 15 games for the Sooners, pacing the league in goalkeeper minutes with over 1,318. Duffy has tallied 39 saves and recently surpassed 100 for her career.
OU opens an important week of SEC play Thursday, Oct. 16 at Auburn. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+.
