THE MORE YOU KNOW

HOME SWEET HOME
In its first-ever SEC competition, the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team earned a 197.775-196.750 victory over No. 10 Missouri on Friday night inside Lloyd Noble Center.
Senior Audrey Davis had a career night as she set a personal best in the all-around with a 39.725. It marked the first career score of 39.700 or higher for the fifth-year senior. Davis claimed the all-around title, while also taking home the bars title with a 9.95.

Freshman Lily Pederson also set a career-high in the all-around with a 39.575, as she matched her career high on vault and set a career high on floor with a 9.90. Jordan Bowers and Faith Torrez were nearly perfect on the floor in back-to-back routines to close out the meet as they shared the event title.

CRIMSON SHOWDOWN
Oklahoma and Alabama are no strangers to each other having faced off in either regular season or postseason competition every year since 2006. In that stretch, the Sooners lead the series 27-10 and have won 23 straight meetings. This will be the first trip to Tuscaloosa for the Sooners since winning the 2021 Tuscaloosa Regional.

ALL-AROUND EXCELLENCE
In each of the first three weeks of the season, the Sooners have put five athletes up to compete in the all-around: Jordan Bowers, Audrey Davis, Addison Fatta, Lily Pederson and Faith Torrez. Bowers, Davis and Torrez all have substantial all-around experience, while Fatta and Pederson made their collegiate all-around debuts in the season opener on January 4.

A different Sooner has won the all-around in each of the first three meets with Torrez, Bowers and Davis all bringing home the title. Davis is currently tied for the highest all-around score among SEC competitors with a 39.725. Bowers is not far behind with a season-high of 39.675 and Torrez boasts a season-best 39.625. Davis, Pederson and Torrez are all ranked in the top five in the nation in the all-around, while Bowers sits in eighth.

AMAZING AUDREY
Senior Audrey Davis has been an impeccable uneven bars worker in her time at OU. She has shown exceptional consistency on bars, recording a 9.9 or higher on 53 of 65 routines performed. Of her 53 scores of 9.9 or higher, she has tallied ten 9.9s, seven 9.925s, nineteen 9.95s, two 9.9625, fourteen 9.975s and one perfect 10. She has never scored lower than a 9.80 and nine of her scores below 9.9 are 9.875s.

Davis has been one of the most consistent gymnasts to ever wear an OU leotard across all events. Davis has hit 221 of 222 career routines – a .995 percentage – over the last four years. Her lone fall on balance beam came in the 12th routine of her career. Since then, Davis has hit 210 routines in a row, dating all the way back to Feb. 7, 2021. Davis has hit every routine in her last 61 meets.

CLUB 197
The Sooners have posted a score of 197 or higher in 61 of their last 63 meets. The program record of 45-consecutive meets with a 1987-plus was snapped at last year's NCAA Semifinals. During the streak, 32 of the 45 meet scores were a 198 or higher.

S-E-C YOU SOON
The 2025 season will be a monumental one for the Sooners as they compete in a new league: the Southeastern Conference. OU is no stranger to SEC competition, competing against four league squads in the 2024 regular season. 2024 marked a bittersweet end to OU's time in the Big 12 conference. Oklahoma won 15 conference titles, including 14 under head coach K.J. Kindler. With Kindler at the helm, the Sooners are 139-26-1 against SEC opponents.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
No. 10 Alabama:
The Crimson Tide check in at No. 10 in this week's Road to Nationals rankings. The Tide opened the season as one of the few teams to earn a 197-plus in 2025 in a 197.025 victory over North Carolina. Kicking off SEC competition at Kentucky, the Tide fell to the Wildcats 197.300-196.100. Alabama currently ranks No. 7 on vault and bars, 10th on floor and 23rd on beam. Lily Hudson and Gabby Gladieux are tied for ninth in the all-around with matching 39.500 averages. Friday's meet will feature six of the top 10 all-around competitors in the nation.

LOOKING AHEAD

The Sooners will return to the friendly confines of Lloyd Noble Center for a Friday night showdown with Arkansas on Jan. 31. The meet is set for a 7:45 p.m. start time on ESPN2.
