RECORD BREAKERS

Just a few weeks earlier on Feb. 23, the Sooners had originally broken their program scoring record with an 198.675 against West Virginia. The 198.775 ranks third all-time in NCAA history and OU is just the fourth program to score over a 198.600 in competition (Florida, UCLA, Stanford). Not only did the Sooners break the program record, OU tied the school record on floor with a 49.825 as Jordan Bowers earned a perfect 10 to secure the record.

Junior Jordan Bowers became the first Sooner in 2024 to earn a perfect 10 with her outstanding bar routine at Arizona State on Feb. 2. She is one of just three Sooners to ever earn more than one perfect score on bars, joining 2017 Bars National Champions Nicole Lehrmann and Maggie Nichols. She is also just the third gymnast to earn a perfect 10 on three events, joining Nichols and Anastasia Webb. On March 10, Bowers earned her second perfect score of the season with her second career perfect score on floor and followed that up a week later, becoming the first Sooner to earn back-to-back perfect marks on floor. Bowers, who is one of three Sooners to earn multiple 10s on floor is now tied with Haley Scaman for most 10s on the apparatus in OU history with three.
