Men's Hoops Travels to Stillwater for Bedlam

•  Junior Jalon Moore led the Sooners with 15 points and RV/RV Oklahoma earned the Bedlam victory against Oklahoma State 66-62 at Lloyd Noble Center on Saturday, Feb. 10. Moore was the lone Sooner to record double figures. The Birmingham, Ala., product finished 5 for 9 from the field and added a team-high eight rebounds and four blocks.

•  Up 61-60 with 1:20 left, junior Javian McCollum was fouled after a missed three attempt by Javon Small. McCollum visited the charity stripe four times in the final 30 seconds, making all four of his attempts. Senior Rivaldo Soares iced the victory with a steal and found sophomore Otega Oweh, who was fouled with two seconds left. Oweh buried his first attempt, putting the Sooners up four.

•  Oklahoma held Oklahoma State to 30.6% (19-62) shooting from the field and 16.7% (3-18) from deep.

RANKING SUMMARY (2/23)

• Oklahoma ranks in the top 60 nationally in six categories. The Sooners are 10th in three-point percentage defense (29.0%), 24th in field goal percentage defense (40.5%), 44th in scoring defense (66.6 PPG), 49th in scoring margin (9.3 PPG), 52nd in free throws made per game (15.8) and 53rd in rebound margin (4.4 RPG).

• Senior Sam Godwin has made 60.2% (59-98) of his shots this season, which would rank sixth in program history for a single season ahead of Khadeem Lattin (59.3%) in 2018 and Evan Wiley in 1998. Junior Javian McCollum has made 93.8% (76-81) of his free throw attempts, ranking first ahead of Hollis Price's 92.9% set in 2003.

WIN BIG

• Oklahoma earned its 11th victory by 16-plus points this season when it topped BYU 82-66 on Tuesday, Feb. 6. The 2023-24 squad is the first team to record 11 such victories since 2014-15. The 2014-15 team reached the Sweet Sixteen and posted a 24-11 overall record. The 2004-05 team tallied 12 16-plus point wins.
