NORMAN – The No. 13 Sooners are set to open the 2024 season with a doubleheader against Wichita State and No. 69 Wyoming on Friday at the Headington Family Tennis Center. The Sooners match against the Shockers starts at 11 a.m. and the team will retake the court at 3 p.m. vs. the Cowgirls.
MATCHDAY BASICS
The Sooners' 2024 matches at the Headington Family Tennis Center will be open to the public and free of charge. Due to the elimination of concessions, fans are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks. Schedule posters will be available and free pizza will be provided to fans until supplies last for the 3 p.m. match against Wyoming. OU also follows a
clear bag policy.

The team adds transfers
Florencia Urrutia (Kentucky),
Ava Catanzarite (UCLA) and
Alina Shcherbinina (Baylor), all of whom made their OU debuts during the fall slate.
The duo of Guzman and Shcherbinina advanced to the ITA Fall National Championships by virtue of winning the ITA All-American Championships and ITA Central Regional Championship, ending their impressive run in the semifinals.
Newcomers
Roisin Gilheany, from Australia, and Chloé Noël, who arrives from France, also join the Sooners this spring.

Audra Cohen enters her eighth season, holding a 123-52 record. Cohen is joined by associate head coach

2023 IN REVIEW
The Sooners are coming off a 2023 season that saw them earn their 13th NCAA tournament appearance and fourth under Cohen.
As a team, OU collected 22 wins, two of them against top-10 teams and six over top-25's, reached the ITA National Indoor Championship for the second time in program history, claimed a share of the Big 12 regular season title for back-to-back years and earned a trip to the NCAA Super Regionals.
The squad racked up several individual achievements, including Garcia Ruiz earning Big 12 All-Freshman status, Guzman being named to the All-Big 12 Singles First Team and Staker claiming CSC Academic All-District honors.
