NORMAN – The Big 12 conference announced the 2023-24 men's basketball league slate on Tuesday, featuring an 18-game schedule and nine home games at Lloyd Noble Center. The Sooners will face conference newcomers BYU, Houston and UCF once while playing a home-and-away series against Cincinnati.
Oklahoma will host Iowa State (Jan. 6), West Virginia (Jan. 17), Texas (Jan. 23), Texas Tech (Jan. 27), BYU (Feb. 6), Oklahoma State (Feb. 10), Kansas (Feb. 17), Houston (March 2) and Cincinnati (March 5). OU will make trips to TCU (Jan. 10), Kansas (Jan. 13), Cincinnati (Jan. 20), Kansas State (Jan. 30), UCF (Feb. 3), Baylor (Feb. 13), Oklahoma State (Feb. 24), Iowa State (Feb. 28) and Texas (March 9).
All 18 games will be on the ESPN family of networks, including 11 games on ESPN+. The Sooners' home contest against Kansas on Saturday, Feb. 17 and away outing against Texas on Saturday, March 9 will be aired on ESPN. OU's away games at TCU on Wednesday, Jan. 10 and Baylor on Tuesday, Feb. 13 will be broadcast on ESPN2 or ESPNU. Oklahoma's home contest against Texas on Tuesday, Jan. 23 and away outing at Oklahoma State on Saturday, Feb. 24 will be aired on ESPN or ESPN2. The Sooners meeting with Houston on Saturday, March 2 will be broadcast on ESPN2.
Before the 2023-24 season, the Sooners faced each conference member twice in an 18-game schedule.
2023-24 Big 12 Opponent Breakdown

Oklahoma opens conference competition against Iowa State on Saturday, Jan. 6 at Lloyd Noble Center. The Sooners and Cyclones have met 215 times and the two programs won their respective away games during the 2022-23 campaign.
OU will make its first road trip of the league slate to TCU on Wednesday, Jan. 10 and continues its road swing at Kansas on Saturday, Jan. 13. Oklahoma and Kansas have played 225 times before the 2023-24 campaign, the second-most games against a Big 12 foe in program history.
The Sooners welcome West Virginia to Norman for their lone meeting of the season on Wednesday, Jan. 17. OU won its 2023 home clash against the Mountaineers 77-76.
Oklahoma travels to Cincinnati on Saturday, Jan. 20, competing against one of the four conference newcomers for the first time as league foes. The Sooners and Bearcats have met on six previous occasions and last played during the 2011-12 slate.
OU returns home for the first installment of the Red River Rivalry on Tuesday, Jan. 23 and continues its homestand against Texas Tech on Saturday, Jan. 27.
The Sooners conclude January with a trek to Manhattan, Kan., for a midweek clash against K-State on Tuesday, Jan. 30. The two programs split the 2023 meetings, winning their respective home games. OU earned a 79-65 victory against the Wildcats at Lloyd Noble Center on Feb. 14, 2023.
After its trip to Kansas, Oklahoma stays on the road and heads east to Orlando, Fla., for a contest against UCF on Saturday, Feb. 3. The 2024 meeting will be the second game the Sooners have played at UCF in the previous three seasons. Porter Moser his first true road win in the Crimson and Cream.
OU welcomes BYU to Lloyd Noble Center on Tuesday, Feb. 6. The early February clash will be the fifth meeting between the two programs and the first outing since the 1991-92 season in Lahaina, Hawaii. The Sooners and Cougars have split the previous two meetings in Norman. BYU won the 1961 contest and OU won the 1986 meeting.
Oklahoma continues its homestand on Saturday, Feb. 10, hosting Oklahoma State for the first Bedlam meeting of the season. The two in-state foes faced each other three times during the 2022-23 campaign. Oklahoma holds a 141-106 series advantage, including an 88-29 mark in Norman.
OU returns to the road for a clash at Baylor on Tuesday, Feb. 13 and then welcomes Kansas to LNC on Saturday, Feb. 17.
After a midweek break from conference action, Oklahoma travels to Stillwater, Okla., and Gallagher-Iba Arena for the second Bedlam contest in as many weeks on Saturday, Feb. 24.
The Sooners continue their road swing on Wednesday, Feb. 28, competing against Iowa State in Ames, Iowa. In last season's meeting at Hilton Coliseum, Oklahoma earned a 61-50 victory. The Sooners have won six of the previous eight meetings against the Cyclones.
Oklahoma will open March against Houston on Saturday, March 2. Former Oklahoma and current Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson will make his return to Lloyd Noble Center. It will be the first meeting between the two programs in Norman.
The Sooners will play their home regular-season finale against Cincinnati on Tuesday, March 5 and conclude the regular season at Texas on Saturday, March 9.
The 2024 Big 12 Championship will be held at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo., on March 12-16.
