• Oklahoma is in its sixth season under the direction of head coach
Skip Johnson (including the 2020 season that was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Johnson, who spent the 2017 season on staff as an assistant coach, has led the Sooners to a 172-118 record, two NCAA Tournament appearances, the 2022 Big 12 tournament championship and the 2022 College World Series finals since taking over as head coach prior to the 2018 season.
• Oklahoma ranks sixth nationally and third in the Big 12 with its 176 walks, and ranks 15th nationally and third in the Big 12 with its 62 stolen bases. OU batters have also been hit by a pitch 38 times, totaling 214 free passes (an average of 7.4 free passes per game).
• The Sooners also rank fourth nationally with their 21 sacrifice flies (second in the Big 12 to nation-leading 28 by Texas Tech) and 26th nationally with 10 triples (third in Big 12 to Tech's 13 triples).

Kendall Pettis is batting .311 (19 for 61) with 21 runs scored, four doubles, 18 walks and eight stolen bases. He has hit .423 (11 for 26) with eight runs, three doubles, a home run and four steals in his last eight games (seven starts) since March 19.
• Oklahoma is batting .281 and averaging 6.6 runs, 9.2 hits, 2.7 extra base hits, 6.1 walks and 2.1 stolen bases per game, and has a 5.62 team ERA and a .967 fielding percentage. OU opponents have batted .263 and averaged 6.5 runs, 9.1 hits, 3.2 extra base hits, 4.6 walks and 7.0 strikeouts per contest.

Series History
• This will be the 81st meeting between Oklahoma and Oral Roberts. The Sooners lead the series 43-37.
• The teams split two games last season — OU won 8-2 in Norman on April 5 and ORU won 5-1 in Tulsa on April 26.
• Oklahoma won the only meeting between the schools in 2021, 14-12. The Golden Eagles won twice in 2019 and the Sooners won twice in 2018. OU is 12-9 overall against ORU since 2010, but the Golden Eagles hold a 25-18 edge in Tulsa (5-3 mark since 2011).
