Dakota Harris hit a three-run home run and drove in four runs and freshman first baseman
Rocco Garza-Gongora homered, but the Oklahoma baseball team fell to No. 11 TCU 13-5 Friday evening at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
Garza-Gongora put the Sooners (11-7, 0-1 Big 12) on the board in the third inning with his third home run of the season. He also led off the seventh inning with his third double of the year. Harris made the score 10-4 in the eighth inning with his fourth home run of the season and added an RBI single in the ninth. The Horned Frogs (10-7, 1-0 Big 12) scored three runs in the second inning, then added two runs in the fifth, three runs in the sixth, two in the eighth and three in the ninth.
Oklahoma put two runners on base via walk in the third inning after the home run, then had two runners on to start the fourth and two on with one out in the fifth inning. The Sooners broke through again in the eighth inning. Junior third baseman

Bryce Madron walked, setting up Harris' home run to left field.
In the ninth, sophomore center fielder
John Spikerman hit a one-out single up the middle, Madron followed with a two-out single to second base and Harris lined a base hit up the middle to plate Spikerman and reach the final tally. Spikerman finished with two hits, including a fifth-inning double.
TCU took a 3-0 lead in the second inning on an RBI single by left fielder Logan Maxwell and a two-run home run by shortstop Brayden Taylor. Maxwell went 4 for 4 and scored three runs. Third baseman Cole Fontenelle hit a two-run double in the eighth inning and went 3 for 6 with three RBIs.
Both starting pitchers factored into the decision.
Kale Davis (2-1) took the loss for OU while Ryan Vanderhei (2-2) earned the win for TCU.
