Groves Brothers Named to CSC All-District Team

NORMAN – Tanner and Jacob Groves were named to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
T. Groves is pursuing a Master of Arts in organizational leadership degree and earned his undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary studies at Eastern Washington. The Spokane, Wash., product, was named to the 2021-22 CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team.
Groves has started 27 games this season and averages 9.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 blocks per outing. He has recorded four double-doubles and has 13 games with 10-plus points. Groves has led the Sooners on the glass in 11 games.
J. Groves is pursuing an undergraduate degree in sports business. He has appeared in 27 games and made 22 starts. The younger Groves averages 6.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution.
The CSC Academic All-America teams will be announced on March 14.
