NORMAN — No. 19 Oklahoma wrestling will open the new year at the Southern Scuffle on January 1-2, presented by Compound Sportswear. The Sooners make their first trip to the scuffle, with the two-day event taking place inside the McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Twenty teams are competing in the annual tournament, which began in 2003. Oklahoma leads the field with 10 wrestlers in the top-6 spots of their brackets, followed by No. 22 Indiana with eight and Army with five. The Sooners have four No. 1 seeds while No. 18 Stanford has three. 

The Southern Scuffle will have live streaming both days on FloWrestling. The scuffle will also have live results through FloArena.
