NORMAN — Head coach Mark Carr and the University of Oklahoma soccer program announced Friday the Sooners 2023 spring schedule.
The Sooners will play six exhibitions across five dates throughout the months of February, March and April, highlighted by competitive matchups with Arkansas, LSU, Texas and Texas A&M.
OU will welcome Central Oklahoma Feb. 25 for the opener at John Crain Field at 1 p.m. CT. The Sooners will then play Texas A&M and LSU in College Station, Texas, on March 4 with games being played at noon and 2 p.m., respectively.
Oklahoma will head to Austin on March 25 to face Red River rival Texas at noon. After a few weeks off, OU will finish the spring slate with a pair of SEC opponents.
The Sooners will welcome Arkansas to John Crain Field on April 15 for a noon contest before concluding the spring exhibition slate with a game at Missouri on April 23 at 11 a.m.
All spring contests at John Crain Field in Norman will be free admission to the public.
The Sooners are coming off their most successful season under third-year head coach Mark Carr, finishing the fall of 2022 with a 9-8-3 record and the team's first postseason victory since 2016, beating Texas Tech in the Big 12 Soccer Championship quarterfinals.
OU added three mid-year enrollees in freshmen Lauren Hoefer, Zoe Main and Addie Todd that are eligible to play this spring. The three are part of a seven-signee 2023 class that ranked as the No. 14 class in the country by Top Drawer Soccer and No. 1 in the Big 12.
The Sooners also return 18 student-athletes that made at least one start a season ago, including All-Big 12 defender Sheridan Michel and Big 12 All-Freshman honorees Hali Hartman and Alexis Washington.
