No. 4 Oklahoma Prepped For Two Top-25 Matchups

NORMAN - The fourth-ranked Sooners are set for their first road swing of the season with two top-25 battles on the weekend. OU will begin the trip in Ann Arbor, Mich., against No. 20 Michigan on Friday before traveling to Columbus, Ohio, to face No. 17 Ohio State on Sunday.

MATCHDAY BASICS

LAST TIME OUT

The Sooners hosted Wyoming on Tuesday night and continued their shutout streak with a 7-0 sweep to advance to 3-0 for the season.

Sophomore Emma Staker and freshman Romana Cisovska were credited for the clinched doubles point after taking down Noesjka Brink and Nikol Dobrilova, 6-3, on court three.

Each singles court found themselves on the winning side, but senior Layne Sleeth secured the victory for OU with a swift 6-1, 6-1 win at the top court over Maria Oreshkina.

TRACKING MICHIGAN

The Wolverines currently have six players in the ITA singles rankings. Leading the pack is No. 39 Julia Friegner, following behind is No. 40 Jaedan Brown, No. 65 Lily Jones, No. 81 Kari Miller, No. 101 Andrea Cerdan and No. 103 Gala Mesochoritou.

In doubles, the squad has the No. 2 pair in the nation of Jadean Brown and Kari Miller.

SCOUTING OHIO STATE

The Buckeyes also have their fair share in the polls. Their highest-ranked player is No. 15 Sydni Ratliff, with supporting players: No. 30 Irina Cantos Siemers and No. 116 Kolie Allen.
