LAST TIME OUT

OU battled in Orlando, Fla. against the UCF Knights, clinching the match at 4-0 but playing out for a 5-2 victory.

The Sooners automatically took the win on court six due to UCF only having five players to compete. The Knights also didn't have No. 3 spot for doubles, so with OU having the 1-0 lead, they only needed to win one court to clinch the doubles point.
Starting off the match, No. 4 Ivana and Carmen Corley took the top court, 6-3, against Levashova/Mattel, while No. 25 Layne Sleeth and Alexandra Pisareva's play was halted at 5-3.

Going into singles, OU was up 2-0 on the Knights. Newcomer Anchisa Chanta was first to finish as she took down Sophia Biolay on court four, 6-3, 6-4. To clinch the match, No. 14 Layne Sleeth took down No. 48 Evgeniya Levashova at the No. 1 spot, 7-6 (7-3), 6-0.

The remaining three courts played out after the Sooners clinched it at 4-0. Alexandra Pisareva competed at court five, taking down Nandini Sharma 6-3, 6-7 (5), 10-6. Carmen Corley, ranked No. 34, fell to No. 121 Marie Mattel, 6-1, 4-6, 4-6, on court three.

Closing out the match, No. 38 Ivana Corley fought a hard battle but ultimately fell to Noel Saidenova, 2-6, 6-4, 6-7 (10-8) at the No. 2 spot.
