Sooners Open Conference Play with Bedlam

NORMAN – The Oklahoma men's tennis team opens conference play against Oklahoma State at the Headington Family Tennis Center, Friday at 6 p.m. CT. The Sooners, who are 10-1 in Norman, return to the Headington Family Tennis Center after a month on the road. 

MATCHDAY BASICS

The Sooners' 2022 matches at the Headington Family Tennis Center will be open to the public and free of charge. Due to the elimination of concessions at the Headington Family Tennis Center, fans are encouraged to bring in their own food and drinks. OU implemented a clear bag policy.

Free pizza will be provided to the first 90 fans at Friday's match. OU tennis stickers and wristbands will be available for fans to take at the match. 

Fans can keep up with the live stats for the match or watch on SoonerSports.tv. Chad McKee and Mark Johnson will be on the call for the match. 

LAST TIME OUT

The team fell to No. 10 Texas 5-2 at the Texas Tennis Center in Austin, Texas. 

The Longhorns got on the board first, taking the doubles point.

In singles play, No. 60 Beiler tallied a top-20 win over No. 19 Pierre-Yves Bailly on court two in 6-4, 6-4 fashion. No. 101 Mandlik picked up the Sooners' second win, defeating No. 47 Ciamarra 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 on court four.

UP NEXT

The Sooners will travel to Texas to face Texas Tech and Baylor, April 8 and 10, respectively.
