WACO, Texas – Tyler Hardman and
Breydon Daniel both went 3 for 5 with a home run and two RBIs to lead the Oklahoma baseball team to a 10-6 win over Baylor as the Sooners evened the series against the Bears Friday at Baylor Ballpark.
Hardman, who eclipsed 200 career hits with his double, single and home run on Friday, hit his 11th homer of the season in the eighth inning to make it a 10-6 game. Daniel also singled, doubled and homered, tying the game at four apiece in the fourth inning with his two-run blast.
The Sooners (26-26, 10-13 Big 12) pounded out 16 hits and scored in six straight frames to overcome early deficits of 3-0 and 4-2. OU plated two runs in the third inning and four runs in the fourth to overtake the Bears (31-17, 11-12 Big 12), then added single runs in the fifth through eighth innings.

Jace Bohrofen put Oklahoma on the board in the third inning with a two-run single into center field. Daniel tied the game with his third homer of the season, a moonshot down the right field line in the fourth inning. Third baseman

Jimmy Crooks followed with consecutive doubles and hardman singled in Crooks to give the Sooners a 6-4 lead.
Second baseman
Conor McKenna hit a leadoff double in the fifth inning and scored on a wild pitch to make it 7-4. Crooks singled home left fielder
Kendall Pettis in the sixth inning to extend OU's lead to 8-5, and Pettis singled in Daniel in the seventh to make it a 9-6 lead.
Baylor left fielder Kyle Nevin drove in three runs, including a two-run single in the first inning. Designated hitter Chase Wehsener homered in the first inning and third baseman Antonio Valdez singled in a run in the third inning.
Carson Carter (3-0) recorded the final out of the fifth inning in relief of Oklahoma starter
Braden Carmichael.
Wyatt Olds earned his first save of the season by pitching the final 2.2 innings. Hayden Kettler (4-4) took the loss for the Bears.
OU and Baylor will play a series rubber game on Saturday to close out the regular season. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
