NORMAN – Three Oklahoma soccer players claimed conference accolades for their performances versus Kansas State, the Big 12 announced on Monday.

Sydney Sharts was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, Leah Radow was named Goalkeeper of the Week, and Cailey England earned Freshman of the Week. The honors are the first of the season for the Sooners, who wrapped up their season with a win over the Wildcats on Saturday.

England scored the game-winning golden goal in the Sooners' win on Saturday, the first goal of the freshman's career. The Dripping Springs, Texas, product and Big 12 freshman team honoree was involved in multiple chances during the match, tallying a team-high five shots and three on net.

Sharts anchored an Oklahoma defense that held K-State to six shots and just three on net, en route to a shutout. The freshman was responsible for the clearance of multiple Wildcat corners to help lead the Sooners to a 1-0 win in double overtime.

The beneficiary of strong defensive play, aided by three saves of her own, was Leah Radow. The sophomore goalkeeper from Los Angeles earned the first clean sheet and win of her collegiate career against the Wildcats. Radow stepped into net this spring after an injury to Nikki Panas and shined for first-year head coach Mark Carr, collecting 22 saves over five games and allowing just five goals in the run-of-play.

The honors mark the 43rd, 44th and 45th conference players of the week all-time and the first accolade since Kaylee Dao took home offensive honors on Oct. 8, 2019.

Carr's team has its sights set on a strong offseason and will begin play in the fall of 2021.
