2021 Spring Game

Coverage Expanded for Saturday's Spring Game

NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department has announced that the Sooners' April 24 spring football game will kick off at 4 p.m. CT and be televised on Bally Sports Oklahoma (formerly FOX Sports Oklahoma).

Like the 2020 fall season, Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium's seating capacity will be reduced to approximately 25% for the spring game.

Game Format

Saturday's game will feature the offense (wearing white) versus the defense (wearing red) in two 15-minute halves. The defense will start with 21 points and gain an additional 3 points for turnovers, 4th-down stops and missed field goals. The defense will also be rewarded 6 points for defensive touchdowns and 2 points for safeties. The offense will be rewarded with standard points for field goals and touchdowns.

Party at the Palace

OU's "Party at the Palace presented by Allstate" pregame fan festival held on the lawn immediately north of the stadium will run from noon to 3:30 p.m. Many of the usual Party at the Palace elements will be featured Saturday, including a variety of food trucks (Midway Deli, Meating Place, Audrey's Taco's, Meat Monkey, Tiff's Treats and Kona Ice) and live music sets from 1-2 p.m. and 3-3:30.

Additionally, the Sooner Radio Network (flagship 107.7 The Franchise) will originate the start of its pregame show live from Party at the Palace beginning at 1 p.m.

Parking

Free parking throughout campus is available on a first-come, first-served basis with the exception of the Heisman, East Suites and Field House lots.

No Tailgating

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and like the 2020 fall football season, tailgating is prohibited on OU campus grounds and parking areas.

Mask Policy

OU's mask policy also still applies regardless of vaccination status.

Upper Decks Note

Limited amenities will be available in the upper decks for the spring game. Fans are encouraged to utilize the concession and merchandise areas on the main concourse. For your convenience and to save time in line, concessions mobile ordering will be available through the SoonerSports2Go app.

TV Info

The 2021 Spring Game will be televised on Bally Sports Oklahoma (channel listings) with Toby Rowland, Dusty Dvoracek and Jessica Coody announcing. Streaming will be available through the Fox Sports GO app to authenticated cable subscribers (including DirecTV customers), as well as worldwide on SoonerSports.tv and the Sooner Sports apps. A subscription is required for the Sooner Sports stream. Updates as of 11:05 a.m. CT Saturday:

  • DirecTV: Please note DirecTV has elected not to carry the game on TV. DirecTV customers can still access a stream of the game by logging in on the FOX Sports Go app with their DirecTV credentials.
  • SoonerSports.tv: The blackout restriction in Oklahoma has been lifted. All subscribers in and outside of Oklahoma now access the live stream on SoonerSports.tv and the Sooner Sports apps on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Roku devices.

Sooners for Life Spring Weekend

The April 23-25 Sooners For Life Spring Weekend is dedicated to connecting and celebrating former OU student-athletes. This year's programming will include a golf tournament, an evening welcome, a pre-spring game event, as well as the opportunity to attend the spring game. Sign-up information has been communicated to former OU student-athletes through the Varsity O Association letterwinner organization.
