NORMAN – Oklahoma (4-1, 0-0 Big 12) returns to Lloyd Noble Center to host Houston Baptist (1-3, 0-0 Southland) Wednesday Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. Fans that purchased a ticket to the OU football vs. Iowa State game will be granted free admission when presenting the ticket at the game.
The Sooners are fresh off three games at the Myrtle Beach Invitational and played in the championship game against Utah State Nov. 21. OU opened the tournament with victories over East Carolina and Indiana State before fallings to the Aggies Sunday.
Tanner Groves and Umoja Gibson each finished with a team-high 16 points in the championship game and Jalen Hill recorded a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds).

SERIES HISTORY
- Oklahoma and Houston Baptist will meet for the second time Wednesday. The two schools clashed last season in Norman.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
- Houston Baptist enters Wednesday's contest with a 1-3 record and is coached by Ron Cottrell in his 31st season.
- The Huskies opened the 2021-22 slate with a 92-48 loss at then-No. 5 Texas before beating Barclay at home (122-44). HBU dropped its game against Texas A&M Nov. 17 (73-39) before falling in its last contest at Denver (74-61).
- Against Denver, Houston Baptist was led by Zach Iyeyemi (11 points). Darius Lee (10) and Brycen Long (10) rounded out the group that finished with double digits.
- Long is the Huskies leading scorer and averages 10.5 points per game. Lee is a close second with 10.3 points and is the team leader in rebounds per game (8.5).
- As a team, HBU is shooting 42.1% (93-221) from the filed and 39.4% (37-94) from 3-point range. The Huskies are allowing 70.8 points per game but are outrebounding their opponents (34.8 to 31.8).
2020 AGAINST HOUSTON BAPTIST
- Austin Reaves led the Sooners with 15 points and Brady Manek pitched in 13. The Sooners improved to 5-1 on the year.
- Victor Iwuakor scored eight of his 12 points in a game-breaking 14-0 run that started in the middle of the second half that allowed Oklahoma to pull away from Houston Baptist.
- The five returners to the 2021-22 squad, all played against the Huskies. Umoja Gibson led the returners with six points and Jalen Hill finished with four points and four rebounds. Elijah Harkless tallied three points, steals, assists and rebounds. Rick Issanza made his first career field goal in the Crimson and Cream.
