FIVE THINGS TO KNOWĀ
- The Oklahoma women's basketball team returns to Lloyd Noble Center for its first game in Norman since Jan. 3 as the Sooners host Kansas Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT.
Ā
- OU will look to avenge a 74-64 loss to Kansas on Dec. 10 in Lawrence as the Jayhawks come to town. Oklahoma leads the all-time series with the Jayhawks 41-33. The Sooners hold a 19-12 advantage in Norman and are 7-3 in the last 10 contests. The teams split last season's series with the road team prevailing in both contests.
Ā
- Junior Madi Williams entered OU's 1,000 points club Saturday as she hit the milestone at Baylor. Williams is the 38th Sooner to score 1,000 career points and joins her teammates Ana Llanusa and Taylor Robertson in that club. 2021 marks the fifth time during the Coale era that three or more 1,000-point scorers were members of the same team.
Ā
- Oklahoma is one of just five teams in Division I women's basketball with three 1,000-point scorers on its roster, joining Arizona, Arkansas, North Carolina and Ohio.
Ā
- Should Taylor Robertson hit a 3-pointer in Wednesday's game, the bucket will mark her 50th consecutive game with at least one made trey. Robertson has hit at least one 3-pointer in each of the last 49 games of her career dating back to Feb. 10, 2019 during her freshman season. Robertson holds the OU and Big 12 single-season made 3s record of 131, which she set last season.
