Kinley, Sanders Tabbed Preseason All-Big 12

Oklahoma volleyball defensive specialist Keyton Kinley and outside hitter Sarah Sanders have both been named to the 2020 All-Big 12 Volleyball Preseason Team, the league office announced Monday.
Rising senior Kinley was a unanimous selection after being named the 2019 Big 12 Libero of the Year and earning first team All-Big 12 honors. Rising senior Sanders was named to the preseason team after earning first team All-Big 12 accolades in 2019.
A native of Lexington, Ky., Kinley led the conference with 506 digs and 4.91 digs per set in 2019. She paced the league in conference matches with 288 digs and 4.72 digs per set.
Additionally, she anchored the Sooner defense that held its opponents to a .178 hitting percentage in 2019. She had double-digit digs in 25 of 27 matches, including 12 performances with at least 20 digs and a career-high 32 against Oregon State.
A native of Plano, Texas, Sanders ranked second on the team with 2.58 kills per set and 268 total kills in 2019. She ranked third in the league with 110 total blocks and notched 10 performances with at least 5.0 blocks.
Sanders set a pair of career highs in 2019 with a 10-block performance against Texas Tech and a 20-kill performance against Oregon State. She also received All-Southwest Region Honorable Mention accolades.
