With the win, OU improves to 6-3 on the season while TCU moves to 3-6.
"It was a solid win overall, I think we have a few things that we can still get better at and focus on moving forward into Sunday against a tough Texas Tech team," said head coach Audra Cohen. "I think it's a positive win, but we definitely have to take some constructive criticism from it and keep working and getting better."
To start the Sooners pink match off, they clinched the doubles point. The Corley sisters were the first to finish on court one with a 6-1 win over Kate Paulus and Stevie Kennedy.
Martina Capurro and Camila Romero fell 2-5 to Mercedes Aristegui and Chloe Hule on the third court. For the doubles point, Jasmine Asghar and Oleksandra Korashvili defeated Marie Norris and Addy Guevara 6-1 on court two.
For the Sooner's first point in singles, Martina Capurro won 6-3, 6-1 over Mercedes Aristegui on the premier court.
Camila Romero finished with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Chloe Hule on the sixth court. For the Sooner's match winning point, Marcelina Podlinska came out with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Addy Guevara at the No. 5 line.
Carmen Corley defeated Stevie Kennedy 6-2, 6-4 on the third court. After a tough battle, Jasmine Asghar came out victorious with a 3-6, 6-1, 7-6(3) on the fourth court.
Oleksandra Korashvili fell 2-6, 0-6 on the second court to Marie Norris.
