NORMAN – Coming off a Bedlam beatdown on Saturday, Oklahoma (14-7, 4-4 Big 12) looks to carry momentum in a road contest against the defending Big 12 champions. The Sooners head to Lubbock on Tuesday to face Texas Tech (13-8, 4-4 Big 12) at 8 p.m. CT.

The Red Raiders are coming off a Final Four run and appearance in the NCAA National Championship, but feature a lineup full of newcomers. Freshman guard Jahmi'us Ramsey (15.9 points) is one of five Tech players averaging at least nine points and is having one of the best seasons of any Big 12 rookie.

The Sooners look to keep forward Brady Manek (15.9 points, 43% from 3) hot after the junior went off for 30 points on Saturday.

Oklahoma is looking for its first win in Lubbock since 2015.

ON THE AIR

The Tuesday night matchup will air on the Sooner Radio Network (107.7 FM The Franchise in Oklahoma City; KTBZ 1430 AM in Tulsa; Tune In Radio App) with Toby Rowland and Kevin Henry announcing. ESPN2 will carry the television broadcast with Jon Sciambi and Fran Fraschilla on the call.

THREE POINTERS

• Junior guard Brady Manek is coming off another strong performance, scoring 30 points (one shy of his career high) in a win over Oklahoma State on Saturday. Manek tied his career-best of seven 3-pointers (on 13 attempts) and shot 11-of-18 from the field. He set the tone early by shooting 8-of-12 (6-of-9 from 3) during the first half en route to 22 points before the break. Manek has scored at least 18 points in four of his last five games, including a career-best 31 points on Jan. 18 against TCU. He joins Markus Howard (Marquette) and Luke Garza (Iowa) as the only major-conference players with multiple 30-point games in conference play. Manek is the only Big 12 player with multiple 30-point games this season.

• Junior guard Alondes Williams is coming off three straight games of double-digit scoring (he totaled only two games in double figures in his first 18 games). Williams scored 13 against Mississippi State on Jan. 25, 15 (career high) at Kansas State on Wednesday and 12 on Saturday against Oklahoma State. Williams is averaging 13.3 points on 57.1% shooting over the last three games after averaging 5.6 points in the first 18 games of the season.

• Oklahoma boasts the top scoring trio in the Big 12 and one of the best in the country in junior forward Brady Manek (15.9 points per game), junior guard Austin Reaves (14.6) and senior forward Kristian Doolittle (14.4). All three Sooners rank in the top 10 of the Big 12's scoring race. Oklahoma and Arkansas are the only major-conference schools with three players averaging over 14 points.

SERIES HISTORY VS. TEXAS TECH

• Oklahoma owns a 39-26 lead in the all-time series and has won eight of the last 14 meetings.

• The Sooners are 9-7 against Tech in the Lon Kruger era. Texas Tech head coach Chris Beard, in his third season in Lubbock, is 4-2 against the Sooners while coaching the Raiders.

• Texas Tech, the national runner-up in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, swept the Sooners last season. It was the first season sweep of OU by the Red Raiders in programs history (the Sooners have swept Tech seven times since the Big 12 Conference was founded).

• The home team has won seven of the last eight meetings. OU last won in Lubbock in 2015.

LOOKING BACK AT OU'S BEDLAM WIN

• The Sooners controlled the entire game to top Oklahoma State, 82-69, on Saturday. Oklahoma improved to a 140-99 all-time lead in the Phillips 66 Bedlam Series. The Sooners have won 22 of the last 33 meetings and are now 13-6 in Bedlam games under Lon Kruger.

• OU was led by junior forward Brady Manek with 30 points - one shy of his career-high. Manek tied his carer-best of seven 3-pointers (on 13 attempts) and shot 11-of-18 from the field. He set the tone early by shooting 8-of-12 (6-of-9 from 3) during the first half en route to 22 points before the break.

• Senior forward Kristian Doolittle became the 47th Sooner to score 1,000 career points in an OU uniform. He finished with six points, 10 rebounds and a career-high seven assists.

• Junior guard Alondes Williams continues to provide a spark off the bench. By scoring 12 points (5-of-7 shooting), he has now scored in double figures in three straight games.

• Junior guard Austin Reaves stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists. The outing was his fifth 20-point game of the year.02/01/2020 Oklahoma vs OSU men's basketball. Photo by Ty Russell

QUICK HITS

• Senior forward Kristian Doolittle is the 47th Sooner to score 1,000 points in an OU uniform, eclipsing the milestone in Saturday's win over Oklahoma State. He joins teammate Brady Manek in the premier circle of Sooner scorers with Manek reaching his 1,000 points on Jan. 18 against TCU.

• With 699 career rebounds, Doolittle is one shy of his 700th rebound. If he collects one more board, he will become the 15th player in OU history to record 1,000 points and 700 rebounds in a career at Oklahoma.

• Manek is averaging 21.0 points and 7.4 rebounds in his last five games. During that stretch, he's shooting 20-of-40 (50%) from 3-point range.

• Manek's 131 points against Big 12 opponents leads the conference in total points scored in league play. Devon Dotson of Kansas has a higher scoring average (16.6 to Manek's 16.4), but has played in one less Big 12 game.

• Manek ranks second in the Big 12 in 3-pointers per game during conference play with 3.3. The forward is sinking his treys at a 49.1% clip during Big 12 play, which leads the conference.

• Junior guard Austin Reaves is third in scoring among Big 12 newcomers with 14.6 points per game.

• Sometimes the key to victory is as simple as making shots. The Sooners are 12-1 this season when they have a better field goal percentage than their opponents. Their only loss when owning a better field goal percentage was on the road at No. 1 Baylor.

• The Sooners have shown discipline in keeping their opponents off the charity stripe. Oklahoma commits only 13.0 personal fouls per game – the second fewest in the country. OU opponents are shooting an average of 13.1 foul shots per game, compared to OU's 18.2 free throw attempts.

• OU is second in the Big 12 in free throw percentage, making 76.2% of its shots from the foul stripe. The Sooners, who shot free throws at a 69.7% rate in 2018-19, rank 30th in the country in 2019-20.

• The Sooners discipline is on display on the offensive end as well. Oklahoma is turning the ball over just 10.7 times per game, which ranks 13th in the nation and fourth among major-conference teams.

• OU is 13-4 when holding its opponents to under 80 points.

• The Sooners are 3-0 in games decided by two or fewer points.

• Oklahoma is 8-1 when it outrebounds its opponent.

BRADY'S BUNCH OF POINTS

• The Sooners almost always have team success on nights that junior forward Brady Manek is rolling. During his career, OU is 39-16 when Manek scores in double figures, 25-7 when he scores at least 15 points, 8-2 when he scores at least 20 and 12-4 when he hit four or more 3-pointers.

• Dating back to last season, Manek has scored in double figures in 31 of his last 37 games – including 18 of 21 games this season.

• Manek has come alive in Big 12 play, averaging 16.4 points during league play – ranking second in the Big 12. He's connecting on a Big 12-leading 49.1% of his 3-pointers during conference play.

• Manek is averaging 21.0 points and 7.4 rebounds in his last five games.

• Manek is the newest member of Oklahoma's 1,000-point club, joining the prestigious group with a career-high 31 points against TCU on Jan. 18. His performance was highlight by shooting 7-of-9 from 3-point range. His 31 points are tied for the most by a Big 12 player this season and are the most by a Sooner since Trae Young.

• He is the only Big 12 player with multiple 30-point games this season.

• Manek enters Tuesday's game with 1,075 career points – the 41st most in program history. He has started in 55 straight games for the Sooners.

• The sharpshooter has sunk 172 3-pointers in his career, which is the 10th most in program history.

• Manek entered his junior year as the Sooners' leading returning scorer. With 741 career points coming into the season, he is just the 10th player in OU history to reach 700 career points by the end of a sophomore season. In the last 27 years, only four Sooners have scored more total points as underclassmen (freshman + sophomore seasons) than Manek: Blake Griffin (1,278), Trae Young (876), Willie Warren (868) and Buddy Hield (756).

• Manek is one of 20 players the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame named to its watch list for the 2020 Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award. Named after two-time NBA MVP Karl Malone, the annual honor recognizes the top power forwards in Division I men's college basketball.

NEXT UP: WEST VIRGINIA

• Oklahoma is back in Norman for its final Saturday home game of the year, hosting No. 13 West Virginia at 1 p.m. on ESPNU.

• Oklahoma holds a narrow 10-9 lead in the all-time series with West Virginia. The Mountaineers have had recent momentum in the series, winning five of the last six matchups.

• The Sooners are 5-2 when facing the Mountaineers in Norman.

• OU is 0-2 against ranked opponents this season. The Sooners are 19-13 when hosting teams ranked in the AP Top 25 during the Kruger era.
