First Pitch:
• Oklahoma travels to Houston for the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic this weekend at Minute Maid Park. The tournament, hosted by the Houston Astros, is in its 20th year.
• The event matches three schools from the Big 12 and three schools from the SEC this season. The Sooners will play Arkansas at 3 p.m. Friday, Missouri at 11 a.m. Saturday and LSU at 11 a.m. Sunday. Big 12 members Baylor and Texas are also in the field.
• The games will be broadcast on Sportstalk 1400 AM/99.3 FM, televised by the Astros on AT&T SportsNet and MLB.com.
• The Sooners are ranked as high as No. 15 in the Feb. 24 national polls. OU is ranked No. 15 by Baseball America and Perfect Game, No. 20 by the NCBWA and No. 22 by D1Baseball.
• Oklahoma went 5-1 last week, playing 54 innings in a span of five days, with doubleheaders on both Friday and Saturday. The Sooners outscored their opponents 40-13 while hitting .303 with 31 extra base hits (61 total hits) and 13 stolen bases.
• Through nine games, OU has 15 stolen bases. The Sooners finished the 2019 season with 29 steals.
• Oklahoma totaled 40 runs and 61 hits in six games last week against Texas Southern and Illinois State, while allowing 13 runs on 34 hits. The Sooners allowed only one run in five straight games from Feb. 15-21, and no more than two runs in seven straight games (two runs in the first game of the Feb. 15 doubleheader and the Feb. 22 doubleheader.

On the Air:
• Taylor Maples will call the action locally on Sportstalk 99.3 FM/1400 AM KREF.
• All nine games of the event will be televised by AT&T SportsNet and available on the AT&T SportsNet app.
• The games will also be streamed on MLB.com, Astros.com and the MLB At Bat app. Additionally, the games will be available live on the Astros YouTube channel and the official social media accounts of the Astros, including Facebook Live and Twitter.

Series History vs. Arkansas:
• Oklahoma and Arkansas have played 25 times. Arkansas leads the series 14-11. This will be the first official meeting between the schools since 2012.
• The Sooners won the last two meetings, 4-0 in 2012 and 5-2 in 2010, both in Norman.
• The Razorbacks won five in a row in the series prior to 2010, winning two of three games in 2002 and all three meetings in 2009.
• OU and Arkansas played a fall exhibition game in September in Fayetteville.

Series History vs. Missouri:
• Former conference rivals Oklahoma and Missouri have played 211 times in their history. OU leads the series, 127-84.
• The teams last met in 2012 in the Big 12 tournament, a game the Tigers won 8-7. The Sooners swept the season series that year by scores of 6-5 (10), 8-4 and 5-4.
• This will be the first neutral site contest between OU and Missouri, outside of conference tournament games (records date back to 1962).

Series History vs. LSU:
• Oklahoma and LSU have played 11 times. LSU leads the series, 8-3.
• Each of the last four meetings were played in Baton Rouge. The Tigers won 2-0 and 11-1 in the 2013 Super Regional, and also won postseason regional games in 1997 (14-3) and 1991 (4-3).
• The Sooners defeated LSU 9-7 in 1989 in the Busch Classic at the Superdome in New Orleans.
• This will be the second neutral site meeting between the schools, and first since that 1989 contest.

About the Sooners:
• Junior outfielder Tanner Tredaway was named the Big 12 Player of the Week on Feb. 24 after hitting .500 with eight of his 12 hits going for extra bases. He put up a 1.125 slugging percentage, drove in six runs and scored seven runs. He homered twice and recorded three doubles and three triples. He led the Big 12 for the week of Feb. 17-23 in hits, triples, total bases, runs scored (tied) and home runs (tied) and was second in RBIs and slugging percentage.
• Junior Tyler Hardman hit .350 in six games last week with six of his seven hits going for extra bases. He homered in the first game on Saturday and hit five doubles. He drove in four runs and scored five and drew four walks, including two intentional walks. He also stole two bases.
• Freshman third baseman Peyton Graham hit .385 in the four-game series against Illinois State, driving in three runs and scoring three more. He doubled once, walked twice and stole two bases. His sacrifice fly drove in the winning run of OU's 3-2 win on Saturday and his base hit put the Sooners ahead 2-1 in their 4-1 victory Friday night.
• Junior Cade Cavalli went 7.0 innings, striking out nine batters and scattering a walk and six hits in the series opener last Friday. He held the Redbirds scoreless for the first six frames.
• Sophomore Wyatt Olds also struck out nine batters over 6.0 innings, allowing just one run on one hit, to earn the win in the second game of the Friday doubleheader against Illinois State.
• Senior Jason Ruffcorn earned the save in both games last Friday. He worked around a hit and got a strikeout to end the game, then retired all three batters in the second game.
• Junior Aaron Brooks retired all five batters he faced in the first game of last Saturday's doubleheader, striking out four of them, to earn his second career victory, and first since 2018.
• Junior catcher Justin Mitchell hit .417 in his three games last week with a double, four RBI and a stolen base. He caught a runner stealing and picked a runner off first base.
• Redshirt sophomore Trent Brown homered in consecutive games against Texas Southern last week. His first hit at OU was a two-run home run on Tuesday, and he ended Wednesday's game with a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning, invoking the run rule.
• Freshman Jake Bennett made his first appearance and first start on the mound for the Sooners on Feb. 19 against Texas Southern. He struck out the side in the first inning and finished the outing with seven strikeouts in 4.0 innings, earning his first career victory.
• Sophomore Ben Abram pitched 5.0 scoreless innings against Texas Southern last Tuesday, striking out five and allowing just two hits in his first appearance of the season.
• A total of 17 players recorded a hit and 13 players scored a run in OU's six games last week. Six players – Brown and Vinny Bologna, sophomore Jaret Godman, and freshmen Connor Beichler, Logan Kohler and Carter LaValley all recorded their first hits at OU.
