NORMAN – Coming off a signature win over No. 13 West Virginia on Saturday, the Sooners remain at home to host Iowa State (10-13, 3-7 Big 12) on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT.

Oklahoma (15-8, 5-5) returned to .500 in league play with Saturday's upset and now looks to string together consecutive wins for the first time since early January. It hosts a Cyclone squad that won the first meeting of the season and led the Sooners by 26 at one point in the second half – the largest deficit Oklahoma has faced all season.

The Cyclones will be without Tyrese Haliburton (15.2 points, 6.5 assists), who ended his season prematurely with a wrist injury. Iowa State still boasts guard Rasir Bolton (15.3 points), who led the Cyclones with 23 points in the first meeting with Oklahoma.

The Sooners will look to carry home momentum and find another big performance from one of their big three scorers to break a three-game losing streak to ISU.

ON THE AIR

The Wednesday matchup will air on the Sooner Radio Network (107.7 FM The Franchise in Oklahoma City; KTBZ 1430 AM in Tulsa; Tune In Radio App) with Toby Rowland and Kevin Henry announcing.

ESPN2 will carry the television broadcast with Rob Ford and Tim Welsh on the call. Fans with proper cable verification can stream the game using the Watch ESPN app.

THREE POINTERS

• Oklahoma boasts the top scoring trio in the Big 12 and one of the best in the country in junior forward Brady Manek (15.8 points per game), senior forward Kristian Doolittle (14.7) and junior guard Austin Reaves (14.3). All three Sooners rank in the top 11 of the Big 12's scoring race. Oklahoma and Arkansas are the only major-conference schools with three players averaging over 14 points.

• Senior forward Kristian Doolittle is coming off one of his most dominant performances of the season, using 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Sooners past No. 13 West Virginia on Saturday. Doolittle joins Blake Griffin as the only Sooners to total 27 points and 12 rebounds in a Big 12 Conference game. OU's lone senior, Doolittle put together his outing after totaling 28 combined points over his previous four games. Doolittle ranks eighth in the conference in scoring (14.7 points) and second in rebounding (9.1 boards).

• The Sooners will look to continue to defend home court on Wednesday, boasting a 10-1 home record (9-1 at Lloyd Noble Center). Oklahoma has won 13 of its last 14 home games. The Sooners have won their last three games at the LNC by a combined 43 points and are coming off a 10-point upset win over No. 13 West Virginia on Saturday. In thost three games (vs. West Virginia, Oklahoma State and TCU), the Sooners are averaging 78.0 points and shooting 49.7% from the field.

OKLAHOMA VS. IOWA STATE: SERIES HISTORY

• OU leads the overall series against ISU, 116-91. The Sooners hold a 65-24 advantage for games played in Norman.

• Oklahoma will look to reverse a losing trend against Iowa State, who has won six of the last seven meetings.

• OU junior guard Alondes Williams attended Riverside High School in Milwaukee, Wis., alongside Iowa State junior guard Terrence Lewis, where they were coached by Lewis' father Tyrone.harmon

LOOKING BACK AT SATURDAY'S WIN

• The 69-59 victory was OU's first win over a ranked opponent this season. OU is now 1-2 against teams in the AP Top 25 with the two losses coming to top-five teams. The Sooners are 20-13 at home against ranked opponents during the Lon Kruger era.

• The Mountaineers entered Saturday with an average rebounding margin of +9.2 - the fourth best in the country. Oklahoma outrebounded WVU 42-41 - just the fifth time this season the Mountaineers have pulled down fewer boards than their opponents.

• Oklahoma was led by senior forward Kristian Doolittle with a monster double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. The performance was his sixth career 20-point double-double. Doolittle's 27 points came one shy of his season high and two points away from his career best. Doolittle had entered the game with a total of 28 points over his previous four games.

• Junior forward Brady Manek chipped in 11 points with a trio of 3-pointers. He added eight rebounds and a pair of blocks.

• The Sooners won the game by double figures despite West Virginia attempting 27 more shots. OU held the Mountaineers to 31.6% (27-76) shooting.

QUICK HITS

• The Sooners have a trio of players who could go off on any night. Kristian Doolittle (five), Austin Reaves (five) and Brady Manek (four) all boast at least four games of scoring over 20 points.

• Manek is the Big 12's second-leading scorer during conference play, averaging 16.1 points against league foes. Only Kansas guard Devon Dotson (16.7) is averaging more.

• Manek leads the Big 12 in 3-pointers per game during conference play with 3.0 treys. The forward is sinking his treys at a 44.8% clip during Big 12 play, which is second in the conference.

• The Sooners boast a pair of players from Oklahoma who have etched their names into OU's 1,000-point club. Senior forward Kristian Doolittle is the 47th Sooner to score 1,000 points in an OU uniform, eclipsing the milestone in a win over Oklahoma State on Feb. 1. He joins teammate Brady Manek in the premier circle of Sooner scorers with Manek reaching his 1,000 points on Jan. 18 against TCU.

• Doolittle has pulled down at least 10 rebounds in each of his last five games.

• Junior guard Austin Reaves is third in scoring among Big 12 newcomers with 14.3 points per game.

• Junior forward Kur Kuath is shooting 81.3% (13-of-16) from the field during conference play. He ranks fifth in the Big 12 with 1.5 blocks per game during league competition.

• Sometimes the key to victory is as simple as making shots. The Sooners are 13-1 this season when they have a better field goal percentage than their opponents. Their only loss when owning a better field goal percentage was on the road at No. 1 Baylor.

• The Sooners have shown discipline in keeping their opponents off the charity stripe. Oklahoma commits only 13.2 personal fouls per game – the second fewest in the country. OU opponents are shooting an average of 13.0 foul shots per game, compared to OU's 17.8 free throw attempts.

• OU leads the Big 12 in free throw percentage, making 76.8% of its shots from the foul stripe. The Sooners, who shot free throws at a 69.7% rate in 2018-19, rank 26th in the country in 2019-20 (sixth among major-conference teams).

• The Sooners discipline is on display on the offensive end as well. Oklahoma is turning the ball over just 11.0 times per game, which ranks seventh in the nation among major-conference teams.

• OU is 14-5 when holding its opponents to under 80 points.

• The Sooners are 3-0 in games decided by two or fewer points.

• Oklahoma is 9-1 when it outrebounds its opponent.

NEXT UP: KANSAS

• Oklahoma's schedule ramps up to one of the toughest stretches it will see all year. Over five games, the Sooners will play at No. 3 Kansas, host No. 1 Baylor, travel to Stillwater for Bedlam, play No. 24 Texas Tech in Oklahoma City and face No. 14 West Virginia at WVU Coliseum.

• The first game in OU's pivotal stretch is Saturday morning in Allen Fieldhouse. The Sooners will take on No. 3 Kansas at a 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.

• Kansas is the only Big 12 team with a winning all-time record against the Sooners, leading the series 148-68. The Jayhawks are 77-16 against the Sooners in Lawrence.

• Oklahoma will be looking for its first win in Allen Fieldhouse since 1993. The Jayhawks have defeated the Sooners in 18 straight games in Lawrence.
