LUBBOCK, Texas – The Oklahoma volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Texas Tech, 25-12, 25-20, 25-23, Friday afternoon inside the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas.
The Sooners fell to 2-8 on the season while Texas Tech improved to 5-9. The Red Raiders out-hit the Sooners .262 to .171 on the night.
Tech led in kills (38-36), but the Sooners held the advantage in digs (46-45) and blocks (5.0 to 4.0).
Guewe Diouf led the Sooners for the second night in a row with 16 kills. Sanaa Dotson also chipped in double-digits with 12.

Tyler Alcorn each added three.
Olivia Curtis notched 15 assists on the day while
Sam Anthony added 12.
Keyton Kinley tallied 16 digs, with Dotson and Curtis each adding seven. Diouf and Anthony each notched five digs apiece.
Tech jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the first set, ultimately claiming the opening frame 25-12. In set two, the teams traded points early before Tech pulled ahead, 15-9. The Sooners would pull within two at 19-17, but Tech put the set away, 25-20.
Tech once again took the early lead in the third set, but the Sooners fought back to pull things even at 13-all. OU held a 22-20 lead late, but Tech used a 5-1 run to take the set and the match.
The Sooners will return to the friendly confines of McCasland Field House for the final two matches of the season Nov. 19-20.
