NORMAN ā Following a comeback win to open conference play, Oklahoma (10-3, 1-0 Big 12) take a three-game winning streak to Austin, Texas for its first Big 12 road game of the season. The hardwood edition of OU's fierce rivalry with Texas (10-3, 0-1 Big 12) tips at 8 p.m. CT on Wednesday at Frank Erwin Center.
OU-Texas matchups have been filled with last-second heroics from both teams in recent seasons and this year's matchup promises another marquee billing. After a career performance in his first game at "The Drum" three seasons ago,

ā¢Ā Wednesday will be the first career Big 12 road game for a majority of the OU roster, including junior guard
Austin Reaves. The Wichita State transfer is coming off a 21-point performance in which he led the Sooners to a late comeback win against Kansas State. Reaves scored 18 points on 5-of-6 shooting in the final 10:30 of the game to help the Sooners open conference play in the win column. Reaves' 16.6 points per game are the most among Big 12 newcomers and ranks sixth among all players in the conference.
ā¢Ā It isn't just Reaves who has found scoring success for the Sooners. Oklahoma boasts three of the top 10 scorers in the Big 12. In addition to Reaves,
Kristian Doolittle (16.9 points per game) is fifth in the league and
Brady Manek (14.9) ranks ninth. Oklahoma and Miami are the only major-conference teams with three players averaging at least 14 points.Ā
ā¢Ā Oklahoma boasts a 10-3 record despite a tendency to get off to slow starts. Oklahoma has led at the half in only four games this season and are 6-2 when trailing at the midway point. The Sooners lead the country in both wins in which they trailed by double figures (four) and wins when they trailed at the half (six). In the second half of OU victories, the Sooners are shooting 49.3% while holding opponents to 37.3% shooting.

In OU's last meeting with Texas, Jamal Bieniemy saved the victory with a game-winning block as the clock expired.
LOOKING BACK AT OU'S WIN OVER K-STATE
⢠The Sooners trailed by seven (61-54) with 3:25 remaining before closing the game on a 12-0 run to capture the 66-61 win. Four Sooners scored in the final stretch while K-State shot 0-of-5 from the field.
⢠Oklahoma was led by junior guard
Austin Reaves. Making his Big 12 debut, Reaves scored 18 points on 5-of-6 shooting in the final 10:30 of the game. The transfer finished his night with 21 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
⢠OU trailed 33-30 at halftime before outscoring the Wildcats 36-28 in the second half. The Sooners are now 6-2 this season when trailing at halftime. Their six wins when trailing at the half are the most of any team in Division I.

Austin Reaves has been one of the Sooners' leading offensive forces during his first season in the Crimson and Cream. A transfer from Wichita State, Reaves sat out the 2018-19 season but has quickly made up for lost time. Through 13 games he is averaging 16.6 points along with 5.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists. His 16.6 points per game rank sixth in the Big 12 and leads the conference's newcomers.Ā
⢠Reaves has reached 20 points on four occasions this season ā the third most in the Big 12.
⢠Reaves scored in double figures in his first 10 games with OU, including a career-high-tying 23 points against UTSA on Nov. 5 and at Creighton on Dec. 17.
⢠The guard has found success despite only shooting 29.3% from 3-point range. A proven shooter, Reaves led the American Athletic Conference in 3-point percentage during conference play in 2017-18 by shooting at a .451 clip (37-for-82).
