STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 13 Oklahoma State Friday night at Neal Patterson Stadium in Stillwater, Okla.

The Sooners dropped to 8-7-3, 3-3-1 on the season, while OSU improved to 13-1-3, 6-1-1. OU allowed three goals in a game for just the second time this season.

This was the second meeting between the two teams in 2019. In the non-conference edition of the Bedlam matchup on Aug. 29, the two teams played to a 2-2 draw in double overtime.

OSU got on the board in the 31^st minute off a header from Claire Gantzer. A free kick was punched out by OU keeper Nikki Panas, but Gantzer headed the rebound into the back of the net.

The Cowgirls would strike again before the end of the first half. A scrum in front of the net led to Olyvia Dowell being able to slot the ball past a diving Panas in the 36th minute.

OU would pull within one in the 54^th minute thanks to an own goal by OSU. A Cowgirls defender attempted to clear the ball but sent her kick directly into her own net.

In the 81^st minute, OSU would add its third goal of the game off a corner kick.

The Sooners outshot OSU 12-8 on the night with the teams equal in shots on goal at 5-5. Senior Kristina O'Donnell led all plauers with five shots on the night, including three on goal. Fellow senior Kaylee Dao added three shots of her own, with one on goal.

The Sooners will wrap up the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. against Texas. The Red River Rivalry will come to Norman and John Crain Field as the Sooners honor seniors Kaylee Dao, Kristina O'Donnell and Ivanna Rivas in a pregame ceremony.
